Re: Payroll Data Issues

I think doing a run of payroll will be easier for me to do.
Being in Canada, none of the tax modules in Powerchurch do anything for us anyways.

Re: Payroll Data Issues

What if I post the void transactions to payroll module only? I mean the original transactions were posted that way so it should just cancel each other out in the payroll module, and nothing would need to be edited in Fund Accounting.

Re: Payroll Data Issues

I didn't even know there was an accounting log, but I found it and looked at it. the transactions were posted to payroll module only, which would explain why nothing shows up in fund accounting. There were definitely multiple transactions processed. here's what the log shows: 1. processed 4 direct d...

Payroll Data Issues

Hi, sorry to dig up this old thread. I just had this situation happen as well. Another person processed multiple payroll runs (Aug 1-15, Aug 16-30, Aug 1-30, Sept. 1-15) earlier this week, and they are nowhere to be found. Not in Fund Accounting, either posted or unposted, not in unposted payroll. T...

Re: Adding Non-Payroll Addition to Paycheck

Hi, I would like to do this with employee reimbursements too. I am in Canada so I don't have to worry about the tax stuff since we have to do all our tax things manually outside of Powerchurch. My question is, is there a way that powerchurch can recognise when an entry is made in accounts payable, t...

Re: reversing posted contributions?

The transactions in question are debit transactions which occured on different dates, I think this will make reconciliation difficult. It also doesn't help that some of these transactions are from the middle of June.

reversing posted contributions?

Hi,

The person who entered contributions also posted them, but accidentally selected "create one transaction for all dates". The contributions have not been posted to Fund Accounting yet. not sure what is the best way to solve this problem.

Re: investment tracking and withdrawals

if I were ambitious enough to do so, how would you suggest I go about setting up a seperate fund account for the investment?

Re: investment tracking and withdrawals

Could i just move the amount that's in the designated fund into the general fund?

honestly, there's so many little things that I think are probably wrong, it might just be easier for me to restart our books altogether but do it properly

Re: investment tracking and withdrawals

I knew enough not to enter it as a contribution, what I did was make a GE crediting the investment and debiting our bank account. No, the investment is not in a different accounting fund. We have two accounting funds: 1. General fund 2. Designated fund Not only that, within both of these funds, the ...

investment tracking and withdrawals

I want to get some advice on how I should handle an investment that the church has. It is held by a third party, and we make withdrawals from them. When we make a withdrawal, how should I enter it into powerchurch? Should it be entered as a contribution? If I don't enter it as a contribution, it won...

bank reconciliation problem

Hi, I have a problem with a bank reconciliation that i don't know how to resolve. last month, our bank statement cutoff was May 29. We had 2 contributions made via debit on May 29, both deposited into the account on the same day. One of these debit contributions was lumped in with other contribution...

Re: unable to reconcile bank account

Yes, this was entered at the same time as other contributions.
What showed up was off by the amount of the new account.

Did the first entry debit the checking account? If so, will it have a negative effect to debit the checking account again?
Otherwise, I will do what you have suggested.

Accounting for Returned Overpayment

Also, Our phone company did something really silly. We sent them money in January but they deemed that we overpaid and instead of crediting our account, they sent the money back to us directly into our bank account. Now I need to make an entry in powerchurch to reflect this, So I want to know if can...
