Yes the pass-thru is a liability account.
No, the funds are not accounted for there yet.
The funds are coming from the savings account and are not designated for any particular purpose.

Help me figure out this transaction
Help me figure out this transaction …
All transactions from the same fund, 01.
I want to transfer $1400 from the savings to the general checking.
I then want it to show up in the Gen Misc Pass Thru account so I can write a check from general checking for $1400 to come out of the Gen Misc Pass Thru.

Re: Large Print Church Directory
I print it out and then enlarge(121%) and print to ledger size on the copier. Not quite as high quality, but I then offer both sizes so they can take their pick.

Envelope numbers report
Ver. 12. Report prints out envelope number in a numeric format with commas and decimal point. Number 1032 for instance prints out as 1,032.00, etc.

large contrib /12
Greetings: If I receive a $10,000 contribution in 2017 FOR 2018, and I want to show the income spread over the 12 months of 2018 … should I receive it into a liability account and then release 1/12 of it monthly to contributions income in 2018? Thanks for your assistance! Linda - St. Paul's Episcopal

electronic 1099's
I have updated to the latest maintenance release. When I try to "file electronically" my 1099's, a box pops up and says

Supply Priest
We have a Supply Priest some Sundays that we pay as an independent contractor. He will receive a 1099 at the end of the year. He wants his pulpit fee to be the only thing on the 1099, not his mileage reimbursement. I have him tagged for a 1099 and I don't see any way to pick out the mileage part and...

Re: two churches, one computer
Thanks! Sounds perfect. I was wondering if I could just do two installs or if they would interfere with each other.

two churches, one computer
Two churches are using the same building, but want to keep separate accounting. I would rather use one computer, they both have a license. What is the least cumbersome way of maintaining the accounting? Is anyone else doing this?
Thanks.

Re: 1099's
The IRS site says: "Do not file copy A downloaded from this website. The official printed version of this IRS form is scannable, but the online version of it, printed from this website, is not." So I don't think any special ink is required. And apparently you can make copies if you get the right form.
