Did you do a backup before doing the reverses? That might make for a cleaner fix.
I've had to reverse reverses. It can get ugly. Be very sure what you're reversing has the correct numbers and date.
Neil may be along to give more in depth advice.
Good luck

Re: Federal withholding under liabilities.
Thank you Neil,
I learned long ago to back up before trying to correct something.
Many times I wish we could have an unmolested chart of accounts to
look at default account lines. The best way to learn PC plus is to use it and
make mistakes.
Have a good weekend!

Re: Federal withholding under liabilities.
Woohoo!
Thank you for your help.
Doing what you suggested doubled the negative amounts so I had to do the opposite of what you said. The numbers then matched the withholding for January.
Thankfully we haven't had our board meeting so I could redo January's reports.
Thanks again!

Federal withholding under liabilities.
On the balance sheet is a line under liabilities named federal withholding. It increases each month by the amount of Social Security and Medicare. It never goes back to zero , just keeps increasing. We have one employee, the janitor. In payroll the pay items use default GL accounts. Do I have somethi...

Aligning 1099 Text
When you align the text of a 1099 and print a test form, does the program save the alignment for the year? Does it lose it when you close PC+?
Every year I have to lower the payer box about an eighth of an inch and the whole form down a thirty second of an inch.

Re: 941 quarterly tax return doesn't match reports.
Do you have 'round tax to the nearest whole dollar' checked on the Medicate tax table? I do not. Upon further review, the 941 assistant actually calculates the medicare tax on the total income for the quarter. This is done in line 5c on form 941. Line 7 then asks for adjustments for fractions of ce...

Re: 941 quarterly tax return doesn't match reports.
The number that is off is Medicare tax. Manually calculating the tax I come up with 2.61 tax for the quarter. My reports say 2.64. When you multiply by 2 to get employer and employee total, that accounts for the 6 cents discrepancy. Medicare tax table is 1.45%. I'm digging as I write this. As each c...

Re: 941 quarterly tax return doesn't match reports.
Just re-read the return and balance due under totals says 295.02 but the tax liability says 295.08.
Not only am I confused, I am befuddled!
Can someone explain? This is the first time I have done the quarterly return with more than just the Pastor's income to report.

941 quarterly tax return doesn't match reports.
Like the subject, my quarterly tax return doesn't match the reports. My reports say $295.08 and the return says 295.02.
Why the discrepancy?
I'm confused!

I did a re-index and no improvement.
I think I had this happen before and don't remember the solution.
