So why do we debit a bank account when it hasn't actually been paid yet? or does that happen when it is paid?

Should taxes withheld be an employer liability item instead of a deduction?

Thanks. I think that makes sense. Seems like sub-accounts will be the way to go for us--since mostly it's money that was one-time income and is designated to be used for specifc purposes.
