Grade levels
Does anyone have a better/different way of entering grade levels for children other than as an activity? (ex, SS: K #1001 and VBS: K #2001)

Formatting custom labels
We are using address labels (Avery 8163 2"x4") for nametags for our VBS participants. We found information about doing a custom label format in File/Preferences/Mailing Label Setup, but it doesn't give an option to do this particular size label. Is it possible to do these as custom labels in PowerCh...

Accidentally deleted personal profile
We have version 11.5, which has changed how activities are added and deleted to a profile. I discovered (accidentally) that instead of pressing on the activity you wish to delete and then pressing "delete", you need to click on the activity and press the red button to delete the activity. So far, I ...

Re: Setting up VBS grade levels and SS grade levels
Thanks for your response. So if we were to do it the way you suggested, Neil, would we just keep using the same VBS activity number each year for each grade, i.e. VBS - K #5010 and delete all of the info in that activity prior to the new VBS year? Or would you perhaps do VBS - K 6010 the next year? ...

Setting up VBS grade levels and SS grade levels
What is the best way to set up your database to show grades for SS attenders and grades for VBS attenders? We currently have ours set up with VBS as an activity and the grade level as a different activity. So if we need to get a list of SS attenders who are in the 4th grade, for example, it pulls up...

Re: Labels inconsistently add "& family"
Thanks for your input. The mystery is solved! The reason "& family" appeared is because all of these women have daughters still included in their family profiles who are age 18 or over. Appreciate your help--God bless you.

Labels inconsistently add "& family"
We recently printed labels for all of the women of the church. About a dozen of the names added "& family" after the women's names. I've looked at each of these women's records and see nothing that would trigger that. They all have children, but so do most of the other ladies whose labels printed co...

Date for activity codes
When we enter an activity code for someone, a "date joined" is automatically entered for that activity. However, the "date joined" does not print on the activity report. For example, if I print an activity report for people indicating they are willing to help with transportation, there is no way to ...

Attendance Data moved--Help!
We enter our worship attendance as an activity (#1900). We are re-organizing our activities and wanted to change worship attendance to 1501. I added 1501; then I went into Mass Updates and changed 1900 to 1501. (I had done a number of changes that way and randomly checked and this method was working...

Changing/reassigning activity codes
When we set up our activity codes, we didn't do so in a logical manner. Is there a way to reassign or move activity codes?

Re: Assign addresses a location or area code
Thanks, Jeff. I guess I was looking for something more complex. Now the committee will have to do the hard part--determine areas of people!

Assign addresses a location or area code
There may be an answer somewhere to my question, but I don't even know what topic to look under! Our Stewardship Committee wants to assign each family a location code to group them for visitation. We know we can sort by zip+4, but that isn't very precise. Then we need to be able to print labels, rep...

Can't print preferred names, Oct. 20, 2007
I also noticed even though the preferred name is checked in Personal Profiles, the given name prints in the pictorial directory. Did you come up with an answer? Is there any way around this? Thanks.

Adding "and family" to existing households
We currently are working with Version 9 (planning to get Version 10 installed in the near future). I would like to print labels that will add "and family" to the mailing name. I see in the Family Mailing List Setup Options you can check the box to add "and family" to new families. Is there a way to ...

preferred name
I have an example of this problem and hope there is a solution soon. When I print a list of people who have a particular activity assigned to them, it uses the "preferred" name. When I print labels for that same activity, it uses the "given" name. What gives?
