Re: Tax Receipt - Default
Thanks for the response, but that is not quite what I am looking for. I want to see if there is a way so that the report options screen defaults to "no tax receipt". It is very easy to miss unchecking the box, and that results in a tax receipt being produced with its unique number. If that was by er...

Tax Receipt - Default
Is there a way to set the default on the Contribution statement to NOT print a tax receipt? Our system defaults to "print a tax receipt" and if you leave it that way, you get a tax receipt with a unique tax receipt number, and if this is not what you wanted, you need to cancel that number with the C...

Church copy of Tax receipts
We are going to be sending out our tax receipts by email and want to keep a copy of them. I have checked the "Send a copy to this (email) address" in the email setup, but a copy does not get sent to that email address. The tax receipt does go to the individual donors in pdf format, but a copy is NOT...

Multiple funds agains single Pledge
In Canada, we are required to segregate givings to "Local" based on who receipts it, and whether it is the result of donation of securities. Our members pledge to one fund - Local (let's say fund 3). Most donations are deposited to this fund (3). if they give to local by way of security donation, it...

Image with Hyperlink
In an email report, it is possible to insert an image and also possible to insert a hyperlink. Is it possible to associate an image (say a button) with a hyperlink? We want to have an email with some text, and a button that links us to a web site for donations. Thx

Picture in Contribution Statement
Is there a way to include a picture in the contribution statement? You can include text, but a picture of the church or one of its activities would be nice. Thx

Re: Initializing the Report Preview
Hi Neil Thank you for all your suggestions. I tried them all, and unfortunately none of them worked. In desperation, I uninstalled Power Church (it seemed to have 4 components) and re-installed it. You guessed it - it now works fine. Just love Microsoft platforms. Thanks for all your timely suggesti...

Re: Initializing the Report Preview
The "main" computer is running 64 bit Windows 7. I copied the "Seagate Software" folder and content as you suggested, but it does not fix the problem. One of the networked computers also runs 64 bit Wondows 7, and it CAN run the reports successfully. Another network computer uses Windoows XP and als...

Initializing the Report Preview
We are on the latest release of PC 11. When I try to run any PC standard report (output to the screen), I get the message "Initializing the report preview" and the PC waits forever. The computer runs Windows 7 Ultimate, and contains the main PC data base. Interestingly, I can run reports with no pro...

I think your solution is a good one, as there are times when all the numbers are useful, and this is probably easier than trying to document what appears to be a discrepancy. Too bad you will not be putting it in V9, but this gives me another reason to get the church to spend its hard earned funds o...

Give the man a gold star. That is exactly what it was. I had a strong feeling that it was something like that, but didn't remember this one. Many thanks. I can see arguments on both sides of the totals in the count report. It does state that it is a count purely of totals of members, etc., but it is...

Personal Profile Reports and Stats do not agree
We ran a 'Profiles Count by Status Code' report and got the number of individuals in each category (member, adherent, non resident, child, etc). When we ran any of the reports themselves for a particular category, some of the numbers did not agree with the Count report. For example, the Count report...

Restricted Fund Accounting - PC vs ACS
We are a Canadian church of about 800 families, and have been a happy Power Church user for about 6 years. We have used almost everything except the fund accounting module. We use QuickBooks for the accounting system, with all contributions and pledges recorded in Power Church. Recently, our new aud...
