Re: Setting up a Line of Credit in Accounting
OK, John, I need more help! When I made a large ($200,000+) payment to the building contractor, I paid it all from the Building Renovation Fund expense account, but the $100,000 we had moved from the line of credit needed to be used for part of that payment. Now the equity account that our renovatio...

Thanks! This will do it. It's what I thought, but couldn't get my head around it.

Setting up a Line of Credit in Accounting
A short time before your website was compromised, I had requested step-by-step assistance in setting up the accounting for our line of credit for a building renovation project. I received a detailed response from John Meyers (thanks, John!), but didn't print it out :( . Days later, the website was d...

But I may have misunderstood the posting.

Re: Payroll Setup
When we did the original install of Version 11, we had to restart the accounting because of major changes in our non-budget funds. We pretty much started over from scratch. The budget accounts converted well, but the non-budget set up was totally new. It was quite an involved process, and we were ad...

Payroll Setup
I have been using PC+ since 1989 when it was in a DOS version. The instruction book was a looseleaf binder with what appeared to be photocopied pages. I have come up through the ranks in the various Windows versions and currently use Version 11 on Windows 7. We installed Vs. 11 in June 2011, and con...

Re: Email Contributions
Thanks for the heads-up, Neal. I'm approaching this switch to the server with much "fear and trepidation"! Do you recommend a call to Tech Support while we are in the process? Also, I'm still using Vs. 10.4 for payroll because I didn't want to have a mess when it comes time to print W-2s and other e...

Re: Email Contributions
Thanks, Zorak. I sent the statements again this morning, and everything went through perfectly, and it gave me the opportunity to print the report, etc. We are in the process of shifting our files to a server...it's supposed to happen tomorrow. I will check with our tech and make sure nothing is hap...

Re: Email Contributions
Thanks, Neal. I've talked to a few people who did receive their statement, but they were in the early part of the alphabet. I'm going to send them again. I would rather folks receive it twice than not at all. It was a very weird occurrence!

Email Contributions
I am using Version 11 on Windows 7 operating system. I have been using the email feature for a portion of our contribution statements for quite some time, but had difficulty today with the 3rd quarter statements. We converted to Vs. 11 as of July 1, 2011, but I believe the 2nd quarter statements wer...

Re: I posted checks but didn't print report
I did the same thing a time or two, and I believe I was able to get the same information by printing a journal report for that date. I use vs. 10.4 with XP.

Direct Transactions
On the Accounting Fund Balances Report, there is a column called "Direct Transactions." What qualifies as a direct transaction? One of our Finance Committee members asked me that question, and I didn't know the answer. We frequently use the "Transfer" option, but the Direct Transaction column is alw...

Re: Voiding Lost Checks
How does this work if the lost check is a payroll check? Will it foul up the payroll reports if the check is written/posted in a month different from the voided check?
