Re: contribution/multi put on same deposit
Which version do you have? In 10 and above, you can choose to post all contributions for all dates as a single date as part of the posting process. So you could have multiple days of contributions all post to fund accounting as a single deposit. In older versions, then you would need to modify thos...

Re: how to spend $ in an income accnt
Hi I wrote a cheque for $348.99 4620 is not restricted so can i just CR 1110 DB 6072 (misc. expense) thanks for your hel yet again!! Yes! This is exactly what you want to do! Although an expense account more specific than "miscellaneous" will help track expenses more accurately. Hope this helps, Eden

Ditto what Debbie said!debbieg wrote:Zaina,
that was an excellent explanation of the difference between the 2 reports. I now think I understand part of my confusion.

Zaina, you just really cleared up a major cloudy issue for me! Thank you so much!

Neil, you are always such a good source of reliable information! But, this time, I hope you're wrong! (No offense intended....)NeilZ wrote:
I'm fairly sure it has to be created for each user.
'Cause if you're right, all I can say is: bleah!

Either way, thanks for your quick response!

Quick Tasks - copy between users?
Is there any way to copy the QuickTasks settings from one user to another user?
Or do they have to be manually entered for each user?
Thanks!

Great move!!! We made the switch about 5 years back and I have never been so grateful! (We made the switch at the beginning of a new year, so I can't offer any tips regarding a mid-year switch....)hudsonumc wrote:I am in the process of converting a church from ACS to PowerChurch.

Re: year to year individual giving
Thank you again, this does work, although I still have to extrapolate the data from the spreadsheets in order to make the comparisons that were requested. This seems like a very helpful report for churches, and I would lobby for its inclusion in future releases. Hmmm, you say that the Fund Totals b...

Does this presuppose that one has access to Access? What if Access is not an available?Zorak wrote:Version 11.1 added an Export To Access utility, so you can do all the reporting and querying that PowerChurch Plus doesn't offer directly.

Re: An internal calculator
A lot of different forms, like Enter Contributions, Enter Transactions, Maintain Manual Checks have a calculator button on the screen. There is a built-in calculator, but it is built-in to code, it's not a program that you can access outside of PowerChurch Plus. I'm glad the question was asked - I ...

I have a few of these and what I do is is to split the name between the First and Last name. It is a little odd to enter it but it works. Example: Last Name: Church First Name: First Baptist. Well, this doesn't solve the problem of having the name come out as Church, First Baptist in some reports, ...

Re: Notes Section in Accounting Module
When entering a transaction in Accounting module, one can enter "notes" that help explain, later, why/what one did. After I've POSTED the transaction, how can I go back and review the notes so I recall why I did something the way that I did? In View Posted Transactions you can find the transaction ...

The answer to solving the problem of contributions from former years showing up in Pledge Details solved a problem for me. The date however was in 2008 and it's now 2012 and the problem is still occurring. Has any attempt been made to finding a permanent solution to this because it messes up certai...
