Importing from a file

I am using the Online system and would like to import a CSV file from my PC. When I click on "choose file" I seem to get a choice of directories/files from the server, not from my local pc. When I type in my local file name, such as C:\church\data.csv, I get an error "file not found." What am I doin...

Re: Backup online questions

Thank you for your reply. The knowledge base article was much clearer than the help file. Backup is working now. :)

Backup online questions

I am a new Online user. I started to do an online backup and when asked to select a folder I selected one on my D: drive. But PC renamed the backup drive to N: I do not have a N drive on my computer. I tried without success to specify my D: drive. :( So I proceeded running the backup with the N: dri...

Re: Manual on line?

It is actually in the program. Just hit the F1 key or go into the Help menu at the top of the screen. Another thought: Does the license agreement permit me to load PCP on my computer at home, load some test data, and work with it that way just to try and get some reports workable the way we want th...

Re: Manual on line?

Unfortunately I'm at home and can not access PCP remotely. I guess I will have to drive into church.

Re: Two copies of V10 -- can I copy contribution files

The problem is that the databases may not be totally synchronized in the fact that some family and personal profiles may exist on one machine, and not on the other. My suggestion is to finish out the year, then network using the current membership data computer as the master. I'd backup the contrib...

Two copies of V10 -- can I copy contribution files

For some reason we ended up with two computers (not networked) each with a copy of V10. The first computer was used exclusively for putting in the contributions. The second was used for membership data, attendance, etc. but no contribution data. The acounting module is not used on either computer. I...

Re: When do I import the file into Word?

Sailman, I've been playing with your procedures but not sure about this: I choose the Directory format of Column or Booklet format (we like them both). I tell it to save it to a disk file in Word for Windows format. Now, do I open this file and copy and paste it into the new Word document (after se...

Re: How do you print directory to booklet format?

I am using version 8.5. I can print the directory in a format that is 8 1/2 x 11 " (one sheet), but i want to print it in booklet format. How do you get the directory to print so it can be a booklet and the corresponding pages are on one sheet? For instance in our current directory the middle page ...

Upgrading issue with ver 10

I have posed this question to support, but since it is after hours I thought someone here might be able to assist. I am trying to help my church convert/upgrade to PC ver 10. Prior to this ver 9 was in use without problems. We have a total of 5 Dell workstations running Windows XP sp2. Some time in ...
