Re: Conversion to 12-Reports problem
Thanks so much! I have a pre-arranged call with tech support at 5pm today at the church but will call and cancel. It seems the treasurer must have installed the release as he was able to successfully produce reports. Thanks again! Margaret

Re: Conversion to 12-Reports problem
Thanks for the reply. I had a successful conversation with a technician earlier today who rummaged around my computer and found some spare parts to fix vs. 12. It works now and we will be in touch Thursday late afternoon to go through this exercise on the computer installation at the church. It's be...

Re: Conversion to 12-Reports problem
Thanks for the quick reply. I do have the latest release according to the screen (The latest verson is already installed). However, when I follow the next steps, in the Install folder, there is no PC12FixCR.exe program. I tried to insert the list: dotnetfx35setup.exe dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe netset...

Conversion to 12-Reports problem
I successfully installed Vs 12 on one computer from the download and a second computer from the disk. The data was also converted - it seems. I see the most recent posted transactions however I cannot create any reports, i.e., account activity, income and expense, etc. I get messages such as Error:1...

Re: Vendor TYPE report?
Thanks! We were planning to upgrade to 12 very soon. Another good reason to do so.

Re: Vendor TYPE report?
Thanks for this reply. I tried one vendor with a temporary type and was happily able to get a report from Vendor Activity selecting type. Next question: is there somewhere to list within PC what such a 2 character or digit type means? In Quickbooks, one can create an item list with further descripti...

Vendor TYPE report?
We are considering using the Vendor Type field for a special purpose and want to have a report pulling out specific types. However, I cannot find a report that will sort by Vendor Type. If this exists, where/how do I get it? Thanks for help!

Re: Contributions from Deleted Profiles
Aha! That's the answer. Thanks so much. Two folks married and the Office Manager deleted one of them from Family Mailing and also Personal Profile then reentered PP. I just talked with a tech person, Doug, who has to remote in to fix this. As I am a volunteer and not at church and don't trust anyone...

Re: Contributions from Deleted Profiles
We are current on version, I don't think that is the issue. And we never restore on this main computer from a backup. This is our primary source of data. I don't believe anyone even knows how to restore only a single module anyway. The issue is not to add contributions to 99999. Somehow they got pos...

Re: Contributions from Deleted Profiles
We just discovered a similar problem. Although we've used PC for about 20 years only this year have we seen a contribution posted as described. The person actually has Envelope #17 but a recent gift showed up as 99999. Her profile is definitely there as is the Env. # When printing a report for all p...

Re: Edit Item Description in Payroll Module
I agree that I _should_ be able to change that following those prompts. However, as mentioned in my original post, the "Type" box is not editable (it is grayed or tanned out) nor is there an option across the top to edit. Only Item No., Description, Expense account, Bank account and Tax options are ...

Edit Item Description in Payroll Module
While checking something else, I noticed that one item description in the payroll module has an incorrect Type. The Pastor Car Allowance has as Type Employer Liability. I have no idea how that happened but neither have I any idea as to how to change it and make it non-taxable income. The Type box is...

Re: Tax Table for Social Security and Medicare
Okay, then, let's lobby for that update. It would make things so much easier. But I'm understanding it doesn't now have that capability. I guess there would just be the default of allocation of additional expense or decrease in expense in proportion to the Medicare and FICA as appropriate. And in CO...

Re: Tax Table for Social Security and Medicare
I don't think it is possible for any computer program to make an automatic adjustment of a few cents to an expense account or know how to allocate to which accounts and I would be quite uncomfortable to not be in control of that. The reason for the 941 form to have the adjustment items is to account...

Re: Tax Table for Social Security and Medicare
One way to adjust and not have to carry over the cents or pay a few cents is to calculate the total 941 for a given quarter before making the payment for the third month or the final payment if on biweekly or other schedule. Adjust the by general journal entry the liability and expense accounts and ...
