Trial balance was out of balance in total by the same amount. But I figured out how to post a one-sided entry to offset the difference and now I'm all set. I posted an entry to January 2008, and realized it was entered wrong so I reversed the posting. The reversal entry posted to December 2007 in error (as I have not closed the year), but only one side of the entry posted. Now the balance sheet and trial balance are out of balance by this amount.
