John: Other than using two separate pay periods, and you'll still have to change the amounts of each line (one to zero and the other to the amount to be paid), I don't think there any other way to do it. The housing really needs to be paid as a payroll item, other than doing a 'vendor' type payment ...

Payroll: Zero dollar check

Cannot seem to get the system to process a '$0.00' amount payroll check. The situation is this...our Assc Pastor (part time) receives a $1000/mo housing allowance (credit Bank Acct; debit Expense line)...not a problem here. He recently is moving closer to the church, and we are going to send his ren...

Hi...
I did just that when I set the chart of account up...for instance...you could use 5061-001 as salary; 5061-002 as housing; and so on).
That also makes it easy for which goes where when it comes time for W-2's.

Works well too.
Hope that helps

Highly recommend PC+

I've used PC+ at several churches, and when our church decided to look into several about 2 years ago, I recommended we seriously consider PC+. We had Logos, but was not being used since some of our people were having a hard time with the modules. After looking at several other demos (including PC+)...

Chart of Accounts---how do I remove an unused account?

Thanks for the help on this issue.

I also found that in order to make it work, with the least amount of problem, that if I first made 'inactive' the accounts (income and expense), and then last, made the fund "inactive" things worked great.

Again, thanks.

Chart of Accounts---how do I remove an unused account?

Situation: Our admin team eliminated several unused expense lines and several restricted funds. We would like to remove them so that we can cut down on the possibility of data entry error (entering data into the wrong but similar account), and so that we can 'clean up' our reports. The problem is th...

Line of Credit...How to set up and post

We recentely received a $15,000 line of Credit with a local bank. Obviously, this should be treated as a Liability. Our banker transfered a portion of the line ($10,000) into our checking account, from which we wrote a check to make a purchase. Here is how we've set this up (is this the correct way,...

Thanks, Jeff.

Having the category should help...I saw it, but I didn't, and just realized after looking at both versions how much easier it is to catch 'wrong CoA types' in v. 9.

Thanks for making that change.

A "Would like to have" (wish list)

Wish there was some way to 'hide' some of the 'fund numbers' in the chart of accounts. In other words, after setting up the CoA, be able to make 'hidden' from user input fields such as invoices, checks, etc. This would help the one doing entry, to not accidently post a check to a fund balance, for e...
