Re: Process Payroll now saves your progress, in case you need to step away or are otherwise interrupted before finishing

I looked it up and your church has the PowerChurch Online service. That is just a remote installation of PowerChurch Plus that you're accessing from across the internet. In any case, the PowerChurch Online servers will disconnect you after an hour of inactivity. If you are getting disconnected after...

Re: "Restricted" funds - move from checking to savings

Transferring between bank accounts shouldn't require releasing the money from restriction. That wouldn't need to be done until the money is actually spent.

Re: Trying to put a picture included in our Prayerline mailings

Basically, yes. The HTML editor controls in PowerChurch should be used instead of Word. Then you won't have the formatting problems that come from copying from Word.

Re: Trying to put a picture included in our Prayerline mailings

The pictures in Word documents are embedded reference to a file in the temp folder. It doesn't come through when copying from Word. Also of interest, the "html formatting" created by Word is terrible. Compare this: <html> <body> <p>Hello,</p> <p><i>This is italicized text.</i></p> <p><b>This is bold...

Re: Process Payroll now saves your progress, in case you need to step away or are otherwise interrupted before finishing

If you manually close the process before finishing, it will ask if you want to save the progress. When you print checks or stubs or create direct deposit file, it saves the progress automatically. So, the way that the functionality is currently designed, it will automatically save your progress afte...

Re: Sending Repeating Transactions via Email?

There is an "Email Invoice" checkbox option on the Maintain Customers screen in Accounts Receivable.

When you Print Invoices from Accounts Receivable reports, there is an "Email Invoices" checkbox option on the opening screen. It will send via email the ones that it can and print the rest.

Re: How to get check created in May to post

I apologize. I missed that it was the Account Activity report showing it as unposted and that is a Fund Accounting report.

Post Transactions in Fund Accounting instead.

Re: How to get check created in May to post

In Accounts Payable, go to Post Accounts Payable (or Post to Paid Items File in old versions). That will post the AP trans into Fund Accounting. Verify the FA trans are correct and then post in Fund Accounting by going to Fund Accounting > Post Transactions.

Re: Directory Pictures Are Degraded

We published an article about this a few years back. The Save As routine in Crystal Reports heavily compresses everything to make the resulting file as small as possible. If you instead print to a PDF, you will get much better quality https://www.powerchurch.com/support/424/1/photo-quality-in-powerc...

Re: Removing an erroneous entry

If it is unposted in Accounts Payable, you should be able to make whatever change you need on the Maintain Open Invoices or Maintain Manual Checks screen. If it is a printed check that needs to be deleted, that would be Maintain Printed Checks in AP (or Maintain Computer Generated Checks in old vers...

Unless that $20,000 was originally recorded in a different restricted equity balance, you would debit the Unrestricted 01-3110 equity account.

Re: Where to correctly setup training classes & spiritual gifts

Yes, Activities & Skills sounds like the appropriate place for all of that. You can add someone to a class activity once they have attended, or add them to the activity when you know they need to take the class and record Attendance for that activity for the day they attend the class. You could set ...

Re: Two System Admins - Is This Possible ?

You can have a user that has full access to all of the modules/features, but they won't be able to add, change, and delete other user accounts. Only the built-in System Admin user has that capability. There can only be one System Admin.

Re: Fund Transfer not showing up correctly

Are these two separate accounts at the bank? The details of the transaction you enter referenced the same bank account number (1315) in each fund. This tells PowerChurch that it is the same physical account, just split into two different accounting funds. The Reconcile screen likely shows a $0 trans...

Re: Unposted Contributions BY FUND

That sounds like a pretty straightforward report to create. The only thing I see that wouldn't be possible is including the pledge data like the built-in report does. Custom Reports in Contributions is split up into three areas - Unposted, Posted, and Pledges. Pledge data is only available in the Pl...
