Re: New laptop with hi-res screen. PowerChurch looks bad

I downloaded a new copy of the IDS Client and the problem is cured.

Sorry I didn't try that before I posted.

New laptop with hi-res screen. PowerChurch looks bad

I just got a new laptop with a 1920 x 1080 screen display.

The PowerChurch online screens look awful - text is not clear, etc. I am running the app @ 125% of normal as recommended by Dell, the manufacturer.

Any Suggestions?

Re: Version 11 - 03/21/2013 Maintenance Release Download Pro

PowerChurch Update Downloader is unable to download the update today. I think I downloaded this update a few days ago in a different location. The Downloader window hangs - no progress bar. Finally get error window with the message "The download did not complete properly. Would you like to try again...

Using Outlook Contacts Efficiently

I just learned how to use update Outlook contacts to export selected email addresses to the default Outlook Contacts list. And then I was able to delete all those contacts by exporting a list with no selections and choosing "Delete PC profiles ..." Both those things worked well. But, what I really w...

Re: CA SDI Withholding and W2 Form

Thanks Neill, I'm using V 11, and the amount withheld is a fixed percentage of the pay up to a cap. I no one comes up with a way to get the deducted amount into box 14, I'll experiment with making the deduction a second state tax or a local tax and then edit the W2s to move it from the place where i...

CA SDI Withholding and W2 Form

California has a short term disability insurance (SDI) "tax" which most churches have opted out of. I'm working with one church which has not. The amount of money wihheld from the employee should show up in box 14 of the W2, preferably with the description "SDI". Is there any way I can get it there?...

Re: Version 11 Maintenance Release 11/2/2010

The ability to export data to an .mdb database is great. I works well, too. Your naming conventions are pretty good, so I've been able to find most of the data I looked for. Can we expect some documentation of the database to make this information even more useful? An Entity Relationship Diagram (ER...

Re: Question about Contributions Summary by Fund Report

Neil- The report I referred to originally is entitled "Condensed Statements for Office" in the Contribution Reports list. The "Contributions Summary by Fund" prints in the report header and can't be edited in the report dialog. I can see the same summary numbers, but not the detail by envelope numbe...

Question about Contributions Summary by Fund Report

I'm running PCPV11 and I'd like to be able to find all the contributions (by envelope) that were posted to a fund but not posted to a pledge. When I run the Contributions Summary by Fund Report and limit the report to the fund in question, I get a summary for the Pledged Amount, both for the amount ...

Support two churches in PCP11?

I currently use support two churches which use PCP: My own, where I am the treasurer, and another church where I provide technical support. Right now there's no problem since one is on PCP10 and the other PCP11. But the church on PCP10 is just about to migrate to PCP11. The question: Can I use an in...

Thanks, Zorak.

I think you put your finger on the problem. Deleting a few Grooup accounts solved my problem.

Re: Merging account

When I try to use the Move/Combine functionality in PCP10, I go to the account entry in "Maintain Chart of Accounts", Click on "Details" for the slected Account/Fund and the Account Detail window opens. However, the "Activity" tab, which is where I assume you would go to Move or Renumber the account...

Re: projected pledge payments report

Thanks, Neil So the report is based solely on pledges. It doesn't take into account contributions which have already been made (or not made). To use the report as a forecasting tool, I'd have to look at actual pledge contributions up to a certain date and then the projected pledge payments from that...

projected pledge payments report

Can anyone explain the Projected Pledge Payments report to me?

Is it actual to date plus amounts pledged? Or is there some real forecasting which estimates what future contributions will be?

Thanks,

Terry
