Re: IDS Client "Failure to connect

The part was delivered first thing, and it was replaced as quickly as possible. Everything seems back to normal now. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: IDS Client "Failure to connect

Everything online was affected, just to different degrees. We had a piece of hardware that was failing, but hadn't yet reported failed which was causing stress on everything else. That component has been isolated, and services are being restored, though there may still be intermittent issues until w...

Re: IDS Client "Failure to connect

It seems to be limited to PowerChurch Online itself at the moment. PowerChurch Online Checkin, PowerChurch Mobile, and Empower are all up.

Re: IDS Client "Failure to connect

Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is an issue on our end, and we're working to get it sorted out. There's a status bar at the bottom of the main powerchurch.com site that will give updates as we have them.

Re: When is Power Church Online updating to version 14?

It is true that v14 has been released. In our testing, we have found some PowerChurch Online-specific edge cases which are preventing us from moving accounts en masse, and we are working to address those so we don't break anything accidentally. That said, if you would like to move to PCO14, we can d...

Re: Is there a Linux client for Powerchurch online?

You can give this a shot. It's a newer Linux client directly from Graphon, the company that makes the software we use to publish PowerChurch Online https://www.mypowerchurch.com/Clients/gg-client.linux.deb (Debian-based systems like Ubuntu, etc) https://www.mypowerchurch.com/Clients/gg-client.linux....

It's back! No word from the data center as to *why* there was an outage, but services have been restored. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

PowerChurch Online outage

Today, a little before 1pm Eastern, PowerChurch Online experienced an outage. This seems to be a connectivity issue at the data center, and there is an engineer on site right now. We're waiting on word back on a resolution, but the engineer said it should just be a matter of minutes.

Re: Upgrade to Windows 8.1 makes powerchurch online UI unusa

Interesting! We are aware that the IDS client does not handle DPI scaling properly (and this has been reported, and a fix is supposedly in the works). We've never seen it do that though - we've only seen the PowerChurch Online display stay the same size regardless of the DPI scale specified. I'm goi...

Give it another shot now. If it's still not working, give us a call in tech support - we may need to review your log files.

Re: Upgrade to Windows 8.1 makes powerchurch online UI unusa

There are lots and lots of Windows 8 and 8.1 installs out there, including all of our computers here in the office. I think the problem that you are seeing is more of a clash with display drivers. We have had a few reports of that kind of problem on different Windows versions from the beginning of P...

Re: Linux?

You're running 12.04, which is the only officially supported version of Ubuntu, so that's probably not the issue. Running the IDS client in an XP VM is just fine too. It sounds like you're doing everything right, and we haven't changed anything on our end, so I believe you should start with the thin...
