Re: Contribution using different funds

Thank you!

Contribution using different funds

Can I do the following:

Contribution Fund 6547 debits 03-1111 and credits 03-4084

Contribution Fund 6131 debits 04-1111 and credits 04-4084 AND receives 20% of Fund 6547

Or do I need for both to be in the same fund for this to work?

Music lessons

We use a payroll company and have a music director that gives private lessons. We collect the money from the parents and let the payroll company know how much has come in each week on his timesheet. The payroll company makes sure that this is treated as taxable income for the music director. So, how...

transfer accts & close-to accts

In one of the past newsletters I read the following "usually transfer accounts close to the unrestricted equity account" What would be an example of a transfer account closing to a temp. restricted equity account? If the entire fund is temp. restricted - would the transfer accounts close to a temp. ...

Re: Need To Create Attendance Lists

We want to make attendance sheets for our children. We don't have an "activity" category set to run specific reports. I'm guessing we would have to add that category to activity/skills descriptions and then input all the information so the report can be run.

Deducting a tithe from a payroll check

We use a payroll service, so I have not set up the payroll module. Given that, what is the correct transaction to account for an employee's payroll deduction that they want to apply toward their tithe? Or do I need to set up the payroll module? I'm not sure how I would do that since we use a service...

Re: Test Powerchurch

Okay, but my question is: I only have $160,000 in my bank accounts....and $100 in petty cash so where does the total figure of $220,100 come from? I would think that if I had $51,000 in restricted funds, then my unrestricted figure should be:$109,100. ??

Re: Test Powerchurch

When I run the Inc/Exp report it only shows a zero balance. I have not entered any income or expense, I just used the accounting set-up wizard to get started. I entered ckg and sav account balances and I entered 2 pass-through accounts and two temp restricted accounts (using the wizard).

correcting restricted accounts

If I initially set up the restricted accounts incorrectly and/or have not run a 'released from restriction' transaction when using the funds...what is the best way to zero out these accounts and start over - not all of accounting - just the temp. restricted funds? When I set them back up, I'll be su...

Zorak - thank you for your explanation - I followed your instructions and that solves my confusion!
And Zaina - thank you for the clear explanation of 3000 accounts.
