Re: Budget Amendment
I too would love to se this as an improvement to PowerChurch - a method to post a budget amendment approved throughout the year that did not actually change the initial approved budget. Often our budget amendments only affect the year approved and are not needed to be carried forward to the next yea...

Re: Balance of Temporarily Restricted Net Assets
I am trying to understand Close To Account Set up and Transfer Account Set Up. I've been reading everything I can find so I came across this. We have three funds 01 - General Fund (deposit tithes/offerings/write checks); 02 - Three Money Market Accounts; 03 - Restricted/Designated Funds. My problem ...

Re: Restricted Release in the Income & Expense statement
I had this same problem in regard to wanting to be able to present a "clean" report to the congregation. So two years ago, I went to a separate fund for Restricted Funds or Designated Funds (Fund 03). I thought it had been working well, but I'm not so sure now. Each month we have contributions to ou...

Re: Default File Location
Thank you - do I need to submit a request to do this to someone or somewhere? Just seems this would be a timesaver for everyone.

Has anything ever been done to correct this? I still have to change my file save location everytime I attempt to save a document. Thanks!

Re: Default File Location
I don't think it does this in my 11.5 version. I have to go back EVERY time I do a save and browse to find my file location for Contributions and Accounting and Backup. It would be so nice not to have to do this! I have submitted it to the address provided. Thanks!

Statement that spans Church Years
I realize this is basically an accounting question but I'm lost and hope someone is willing to help. I have a statement that contains numerous items - first, one credit and one charge for VBS and needs to be posted against our church year 13 which ended July 31. The statement also contains several o...

Re: Transfering money
So I do not "release restricted funds" with this transaction. That is what I have been doing and it double posts (I think) to throw off my balances??

Transfering money
We have a contribution fund called first fruits. This offering is currently designated each month to go in the Building Fund. The Contribution Fund posts these monies to Fund 03 as a DB 03-1110-101 Checking CR 03-4270-000 Restricted Income FF Then we transfer these funds to the Buliding Fund Money M...
