Thank you. I knew there had to be another option. Never thought about using the sub-accounts. Will give it a try and see if that will satisfy them.

Alter Existing Report
Is there any way to alter an existing report to include additional information? I like the Profile Pictorial Directory but need birthday included on it. My other option is to include a picture on the Selected Profile - Full Details Report (all under Personal Profiles) I know that a custom report can...

Cannot Print 941
When trying to print the 941 I get an error that states An Acrobat PDF Software was not found. I have the latest version installed on my computer. Is there somewhere that I need to tell the program where to look for the PDF software? I did not have this issue in the previous quarters when printing t...

Re: Fund Raiser
Thanks for the suggestion Jeff. I set it up that way and didn't really want to have to reconcile the account. I ended up creating an expense account for loading the gift card. When the money is spent, I enter a transaction in Fund Accounting to move the expense to the correct expense category. This ...

Fund Raiser
We run an on-going fund raiser through a grocery store. People purchase a gift card for $5.00 from the church. The gift card already has $5.00 on it for them to use. When purchasing the batch of cards, I expense the total amount to "Fund Raiser Expense". When the money comes in for the purchase of t...

Loan Refinance
We recently refinanced our mortgage due to a balloon payment coming up. There were no fees associated with the refinance since we stayed with the same lender, however, at the date of signing the paperwork, there was accrued interest added to the loan balance. I currently track our principal balance ...

Re: Liability Account Balance Error & Fund Balance Question
Thanks for the help on the liability account. I went ahead and did that. Understanding how the fund balance is calculated helped a lot too. It is not "out of whack" as far as I thought. I ran a balance sheet for the first year that I used the program and I am off the same amount then as now ($3,640....

Liability Account Balance Error & Fund Balance Question
The error that I need to correct took place 3 years ago, however, due to the fact that I do not run a balance sheet on a regular basis (we have a custom report that the board prefers), I did not find it until now. We are needing to refinance our mortgage and have to supply specific reports to the le...

Re: Deducting Rent from Pay Check
This was an option I had considered, however, was wanting to use it as a last resort, and it appears we have arrived there. I don't like logging something as a contribution that is not one, but it does seem that it will accomplish my end goal. Will just have to do some manual calculations at the end...

Re: Deducting Rent from Pay Check
Thanks for the response John, however, I'm still a bit confused and I got an error of "Account is not the correct type" when I tried it. Why would I be increasing an expense when it is actually income for the church? (We had a previous tenant in the apartment and I recorded the rent payment each mon...
