Re: Checking missing from Check Register

Problem solved. Thanks for the input. It posted to an old check register for an account we no longer use. This was an old vendor that we only have maybe once a year. We changed to a new checking account and I didn't change the account for that vendor.

Checking missing from Check Register

I need some help. I wrote a check for $100 from our benevolence fund. The check posted to the journal and I have the enries for it. The check cleared our checking account. When I was reconciling the statement the check didn't show in the list so I could reconcile it. I printed a check register for t...

Re: Balancing

John Thanks so much. That was it, the difference was all the mortgage. We refinanced so we could do some renovations in the church. We had some expenses that came from the proceeds of the loan. No check was written but we had the expense. That and the principle we paid on the mortgage came to exactl...

Re: Balancing

John, Thanks for the info. I will check that. What I'm confudsed about is that if the mortgage was the issue I would expect the difference to be greater and the difference is only about $800 dollars. The principle is between $200 and $300, so I would be expecting a $2400 to $3600 difference between ...

Re: Contribution posting error

Neil,

I posted in both Contributions and fund accounting. I will try what you said. I didn't check Dec 2011 because I know I didn't change the year. I haven't closed December yet. The year is still 2010. I will check Dec 2011 anyways. If it does turn out to be there, how do I fix it.

Contribution posting error

I processed the contributions for 1/9/2011 on MOnday 1/10/2011. They were all entered with the 1/10/2011 date. When I posted I had one contribution for the 12/31/2010 that I hadn't posted yet. I posted that single contribution to December 2010 and then I posted the entries for 1/10/2011 and I change...

Re: Setting up Income account for a new savings account

John, Thanks for the info. I was thinking that was correction I needed to do. As far as the liability is concerned we did that correctly. We refinaced the church mortgage and got some extra to do some renovations and it was the portion that was cash to the church that I wasn't sure about. So we are ...
