That wouldn't work either. The data structures are very different between 8.5 and 9. Basically, you'd have to upgrade your data to v9 and give it to the other person to restore. If they have a copy of 8.5, you could also give a backup for them to upgrade to v9. So I guess there is no way for someon...

Sending copy of 8.5 to a computer running 9.0
If I am running powerchurch 8.5 and I want to send the data files to someone running 9.0 (so they can check them /audit them), how is the best way to do that? If I backup the data files with 8.5, the backup file will not restore in 9.0. How can I get around this? Would it work if I sent the entire 8...

OLE Error
I'm getting the following error:
OLE error code 0x80040154: Class not registered. OLE object is being ignored.
Any ideas why?

Grouping Individuals in a Household
I am trying to create a report which lists household names and under each household name, lists individual names that belong to that household. I’ve managed to create a report, but I’m doing something wrong. The report I created shows the individual names, but instead of listing all individuals of o...

I'm not the expert on this, but my guess is that you are going to have to use a custom report to generate what you are looking for. I've run into a similar problem myself - but haven't made my custom report yet. I would be nice if there was somewhere on the powerchurch web site (maybe there is !) wh...

Report attendance to any one of several weekly activities
I'm wondering if anyone has a custom report which reports the people who attended at least one of several different weekly activities. For example, some people might be a member of 3 or 4 different activities. I want to know who attended at least one of those activities each week. Is there any way o...

I though you have two options. One is to have a credit card account that is an expense account. Everytime you pay your bill you would debit that account and credit cash. I've never thought of using an expense account for credit card. Wouldn't the related purchase be the expense? For example, if I w...

Setting Up Credit Cards
Since PC+ does not have a credit card account, what do others think about setting up a Credit Card account as a Bank Account (with a negative balance, of course). Has anyone tried this? I assume by doing so you could do a bank reconciliation on your credit card account when your monthly statement co...

PowerChurch is designed as a cash basis sytem. What this means is that no entry is shown until a check has been written. How would it work if a person sets up an accounts payable account for each of their accounts payable. Then when you make a purchase from ABC company, you post it to the appropria...
