payroll
I have a real problem in payroll since I have individuals working in several church programs and the cost for payroll and taxes have to be tracked separately in different funds. I can't find any way to combine all the pay into one check and have the accounting come out right to get the pay and the p...

restricted funds
All my funds use the same checking/savings accounts, but they are reported to the Church independently as to balances. We do not mix our "operating fund" which other funds since it budget managed. We have a lot of "other funds." I can't see that keeping them in one account using the restricted optio...

vendor name problems
I read somewhere there was a concern about the inability to combine duplicate vendor names when the only problem is the vendor got entered into the system with two variations of the id. I find this inability very frustrating, and wondered if anyone was working on fixing this problem without resortin...

resrticted/release accounts vs. separate funds
I have always used separate fund designations for separate restricted funds from donors. This accounts for the income, expense and balance for each restricted donation in each fund. Also, we don't mix these contributions with our budgeted unrestricted funding. What is the advantage of using the rest...

I would like to know if the program can be changed so that somewhere-maybe in accounting setup or in the save columns option -- I can get rid of the check mark that prints unbudgeted - I never use the unbudgeted line and print many I&E reports and have to undo that check mark every time. Can't I sav...

data has always summed up to the group level with a subtotal so I don't see what putting a budget in the group level accomplishes. I also thought that it would enable us to budget at the group level without going into budgets for all items within the group. Sometimes you have abudget set for somethi...

group budget reporting on income and expense report
when I budget by the group, I get a report line for the group heading and a a report line for the group total. The report line for the group heading does not include activity for the group. However, the report line for the group total is correct. Why is there a line for the heading in the I&E report...

addendum to example, income and expense report
the message didn't go with the spacing, so I will try again -- Level 4 report, main group at level 2, no level 3, and budget at level 5. Level 2 ...................current mo........yr to date......budget......percentage ......Level 4a............................2.00............12.00 ......Level 4b....

I'm not sure if it is like that or not. Here is my try at an example using your format -- Level 4 report with main group at level 2, no level 3, and budget at level 5 Level 2 current mo. yr. to date budget percent Level 4a 2.00 12.00 Level 4b 1.00 2.00 12.00 Level 4c 12.00 Subtotal Level 2 1.00 4.00...

exporting to excel
I have been having problems with data I export to Excel from Power Church 9. It sends data in merged cells which cannot be used for calculations unless the merged formating is changed and this can lead to a lot of other editing -- too time consuming. What happened to the rather clean transfers we us...

incomplete income and expense reports
I am using Power Church 9. Because there are different uses for the different levels of budget reporting, I use summary level four for some income and expense reports. In previous versons, a higher summary level summed up lower levels, filled in the result with budget percentages and included monthl...
