We want to track payroll tax liability using a restricted account #3260 and additionally we want to move that money to our savings account #1220-002 from our main checking account #1120 and release it at end of each quarter when we pay the taxes. We understand how to transfer the money from checking...

We have a line item on our Balance Sheet called Electronic Equipment for approx $7,000. We recently had a burglary and part of this equipment was stolen. We have replaced the stolen equipment for approx. $2,300. My question is how to account for this in order to capitalize it. My thinking is the ent...

Income and Expense YE Report
On the YE income and expense reports we were at about a $400 loss even though we transferred from savings to pay bills approximately $20,000 over the course of the year. Although the balance sheet reflected this in the difference from the first to the end of the year, how can we show the $20,000 on ...

Re: Closing Costs
Thanks for your quck reply. We actually did that entry first but then looking at the income statement for this month, we were concerned about having some $2,783 in fees showing up this month. It sort of distorts the bottom line. I'm not an accountant so please help me think this through. We will be ...

Closing Costs
We did a loan modification to an existing loan. We debited proceeds to bank and credited to existing loan. To bring liability balance up to the correct amount of the new loan, what account do we debit for the loan fees? We were considering putting it to closing account 3110. Is this correct? Thank y...

Re: Pledge to Actual defined dates
Thanks,
That gives me the total for year pledged vs pledge received for year to date.
I'm looking for the month of July pledged amount vs pledge amount received for July.

Re: Pledge to Actual defined dates
Thanks,
Header reads:
"Pledges from 07/01/2011 to 07/31/2011"
"Amounts calculated as of 08/25/2011"
I did a "reset report options" and there were no changes.

Re: Pledge to Actual defined dates
Thanks,
Using v11.1 with the latest updates. I'm not changing the calculation dates.
I've checked three computers, all do the same thing. I've looked for setting changes and everything looks fine,
but I may have missed something.

Hi,
Pledge to Actual Comparison report always gives me the year to date values, even when I change the defined dates, it worked fine until this month. Any suggestions?
