Re: Cash Deposit / Investment Update
Thank you so much! I was able to enter the contribution as a negative and re-enter the transaction using the directions you gave.

Cash Deposit / Investment Update
Several months ago we took $5,000 from a $15,000 cd. Without even thinking about it, I deposited the check as a contribution. Now I realize that the invesment portion of the balance sheet is wrong. How can I fix this so the "Investments" portion of the balance sheet is correct without messing up the...

Balance Sheet Error - Please Help
We have PC Version 9. We still hand write checks. My check book balances with the bank statement. When I "reconciled bank accounts" in PC, it balanced. However, my check book and my total on the balance sheet in PC do not match. Can anyone tell me where to begin looking to find the error? I would gr...

Mortgage Refinance
We refinanced our mortgage. The loan amount was $121,000.00. Our payoff was $45,044.13. There are also several other fees. Our new loan balance is $74,965.37. I have no idea how to enter this information. I will greatly appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Forgot to Release Restricted Funds

When I entered the contributions, I entered them correctly as restricted funds. However, when I wrote the checks to the bank, I forgot to release the funds. I did this 3 times ...

Transfering Funds
Since it doesn't sound like it is necessary, I'm not going to create a new fund. However, I'm still confused about transfering money. Currently the money is in the general fund 01 checking account. I need it to appear in the equity account "Youth Fund" (temporarily restricted) on the balance sheet. ...

Creating Temporarily Restricted Fund - Part 2
I'm not sure if I included enough information in my question. We have only one checking account. The fund I am creating and trying to transfer money to is to track money that is being donated for a one time purchase. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help me get this straightened out. Tha...

Mortgage Incorrect on Balance Sheet
I have been using PC for about 3 months. I realize now that I did not set up the mortgage correctly to show principal and interest. Since our fiscal year starts over in July, I think I can easily correct it now. However, when I print a balance sheet for the year ending June 2005, the balance on our ...

Yes, the month I posted them is in the report's range. I think the problem may have been identified in the first reply I received from Matt. The journal report shows the problem. I did not credit the income account. The bank account is both debited and credited for each contribution I entered. I'm n...
