DOC files problem
The only option available for saving contribution statements for WORD is DOC file . This type of file seems to be a problem for more contemporary M/S Office Word programs. DOCX is the acceptable type to work with. Do you plan to make PC+ more current in the near future, or am I missing something tha...

Re: Reset up of accounts and mortgage
This is what we have seen some churches do. When they write the mortgage payment they credit bank debit a mortgage expense. Then they make an adjustment to debit the mortgage liability and credit the unrestricted equity account. This is not technically 100 percent correct accounting as it does over...

Re: Restricted fund checking accounts
Thanks Matt. I understand TA - TL = 3110; I was making it more difficult by trying to derive the Unrestr Net Assets by a [quote]different method.[quote]
Also, appreciate the advice re: fixed assets and manual transactions.

Re: Restricted fund checking accounts
Thank you Neil and Jeff. The 3 accounts that I refer to are actually physically separate from the gen checking account. They are checking/interest bearing accounts totally dedicated to "projects," and contain as mentioned earlier, dedicated/restricted funds. They do not currently close to any equity...

Restricted fund checking accounts
In addition to the gen ops ck acct(1100) I have 3 ck accounts in the 1100 series of the CoA that are for pure(no mix) restricted contributions. Problem ...the balances of these accounts then show up as Unrestricted Net Assets(3110). Also, I don't see a way of closing these 3 "Asset" accounts to thei...

Re: Duplicate equity account
I did as you requested, and did indeed receive a duplicate account warning. I f I don't here from you within a day or two, I will assume you want me to call tech support.
Thanks to both of you, John and Zaina, for your help.

Re: Duplicate equity account
Thanks John, but...all my transactions went with the 3999 account. Let me better explain what I have. I'm in the Maintain COA window working with the 01-3210 account. Below, in the "This account is used in the following funds:" box, I have two entries. Both are 01 GENERAL FUNDs. Does this shed more ...

Duplicate equity account
Some time in the past, I have created an equity account (3210) twice. I cannot delete one because both have accounts (same) closing to them. Even after eliminating the "closing to" relationships, I still have to contend with the transaction history before one 3210 account can be deleted. The "Detail...

Re: Receipt Form for materials
Thanks Neil,
Since I have the receipt(paper-trail) is there a way I can manually inject this expense into the budget rather than with pen & ink?

Re: Receipt Form for materials
Excuse me for tagging on to this. Let's assume we want to capture the expenses in PC+ for such a transaction. For example, a donor buys cleaning supplies and submits the receipt for ($50) and asks that it be treated as a donation. I'm thinking, as has been suggested, that his request can only be sat...

Chose wrong Contr. posting option
When posting contributions for last Sun, I selected ...a report...(rec'd a "Contributions Posting Summary") rather than updating the FA module. Do I need to reverse each contribution, then put in the contributions again then proceed to select updating FA option?
Thanks

Re: FA inconsistent equity reports?
There is currently a problem with the Detail Changes in Equity report that will be fixed in an upcoming maintenance release. It should be showing everything including transactions to income and expense that will close to that equity account. Zaina, was this corrected in the latest mnt release? Thx,...
