Re: Email contribution statement default to checked

Thank you. I was afraid of that. We are still on 11.5 so I guess the answer is there is no way to set the default. Unfortunately no ... I would seriously consider upgrading to v12, as there are a lot of value added features that have been included. The upgrade is only $159.00 for the download file....

Re: Find contribution

Is there a way I can find a specific dollar contribution and where the amounts were applied? I am searching for a $225.00 check from a member and it is not posted to his statement. We make copies of all checks and I am not locating the check anywhere. I did run a report from $224 - $225 and it show...

Re: proper use of transfer accounts and restricted funds

Come to think of it, the fact that Fund 02 exists has actually caused a lot of problems in the past because transfer accounts weren't used/setup, and transactions weren't input properly. Would it be a good idea if I were to move everything into fund 01? Would I be forced to use donor restrictions a...

Re: proper use of transfer accounts and restricted funds

If by using temp restricted accounts, you mean we use release accounts, then no. Fund 02 has pretty much been used to keep designated funds separate from operating funds. Fund 02 includes all of our designated funds, including building, missions, short term missions, etc. Then the transfer transact...

Re: Temporary Restrictions

When your entering a separate transaction to just contain the release part what does it look like? Something like this: 01-4820-000 DB Release $500 01-4999-000 CR Released from Restriction $500 The 4999-000 is the system created default, and should not be changed. The easiest way to have this creat...

Will PowerChurch Online work with the new M1 chip the Apple rolled out a while back?
The MAC IDS Client, which is needed to access PCPlus Online, will work with OSX 10.10 and higher (INCLUDING 11 Big Sur). It doesn't matter what CPU is being used, as long as the OS is supported.

Re: Using Givelify for Online Contributions

I read the post below and trying to get some clarity as to how to show Givelify in PowerChurch. My first question is in respect to showing a Givelify donation of $1000 in the following way, is that just for when the church is absorbing the fee or does it matter? Normally when we receive a donation ...

Re: Dec 2020 941 problem

We just got an IRS notice saying "Your tax liability schedule for the quarter ending December 31, 2020 (Form 941) was not submitted or completed correctly." Of course the notice doesn't say what the problem was. We simply print and sign Form 941 from PowerChurch and mail it in. I wonder if others g...

Re: proper use of transfer accounts and restricted funds

I have finally figured out how to use transfer accounts to move money from unrestricted to restricted, and vice versa. We only have one bank account, and have Fund 01-unrestricted and Fund 02-restricted. Is it the case that every single transaction involving restricted funds must look like this? Le...

Re: Correct accounting for Endowment distributions

Thank you for your help. I was making it much more complicated than it had to be. The separate checking account was set up years ago. I was told that the distribution of the dividends from the investment had to go to an account set up in the endowment fund name. Plus, 5% of the distribution stays i...

Re: Correct accounting for Endowment distributions

We have tan endowment set up in it's own fund account, separate from our General fund, that we receive quarterly dividends from. When the dividends are received, they are deposited into a checking account automatically from the investment company. A check is then written from that account to be dep...

Re: Fund balance setup

Ok thanks. The Funds weren't originally setup properly as there was no 02-3110 account in Fund 02, which is why I just picked an available account for the transfer account to close to. In terms of the unrestricted fund balance in Fund 02. Would all income and expense accounts within Fund 02 close t...

Re: Credit on an account payable

It was a huge credit - with covid and no-one using the building it will take almost 2 years to use up the credit. Do I just not record anything for the water bill in all that time? Well, if its that large, you can create a liability account for the amount. I suspect it would have to be an Out Of Ba...

Re: Credit on an account payable

Last year our hot water tank sprung a leak and we had to pay for several gallons of wasted water. We applied for an adjustment based on our average actual usage and now we've just had a huge credit applied on our water bill. It's not income so how do I enter that? Do I just enter a negative number ...

Re: Fund balance setup

So, I don't know if fund balances can work like this, but is it possible to set up one "master" fund balance, with a bunch of sub-fund balances? Basically I'm trying to find a solution to some issues with restricted funds, hopefully my explanation makes sense. We have restricted funds in Fund 02. W...
