Re: Half year budgeting
During COVID I opted to operate on a 6 month budget rather than full year due to the uncertainty in planning and giving during the pandemic. We currently have a budget in PC+ for Jan - June 2021. We are now in the process of preparing another round of 6 month budget for the July - Dec 2021 time per...

Re: 941 adjustments +/- Line 10
Power Church Online When generating from Power Church the 941 Quarterly Tax Return, Line 7 "Current quarter's adjustment for fraction of cents" lists 0.07. Line 6 "Total taxes before adjustments" lists $8698.19. Line 10 "Total taxes after adjustments" adds the 0.07 for a total of $8698.26. What cau...

Re: Changing Accounts on a Posted Transaction
I can't find this answer in my manual so turning to the forum. I need to change the fund account # to which I credited a transaction that has since been posted to fund accounting. Is there a way to do this...? I also need to change the offset account to which a deposit has been credited. I'm surpri...

Re: Getting Up to Speed
In Funds Accounting you'll enter a transaction to show the deposit of the actual funds received from Faithlife. So while Contributions will show the entire amount, your Income & Expense report will only show the amount actually received as income. This is the part that I was really hoping for an al...

Re: Net Asset Checking not matching Bank Statement
I have a few questions: I have entered all contributions and expense transactions but when I run the report for the Balance Sheet; my Checking Asset does not match my end of the year banking statement. Is this normal? Or have I not entered some entries incorrectly. Ex: My end of the year banking st...

Re: A change to the original budget
Is there a chance it is in the works for Budget Amendments to show as a change to the original budget? Thank you! I haven't heard of that. However, the easiest way to do this currently is to adjust the amounts in the account that is being changed. 1. from the Accounting -> Fund Accounting -> Setup ...

Re: Setting up multiple funds, each with their own bank account
I have a similar issue. For 2020; Our location has a Main Checking Acct; A separate Savings Acct for our Building Fund (where we deposit the funds that come into our main checking acct for the building fund); and later in 2020 we closed the Saving Bldg Fund acct; and opened a MMA Savings. I am tryi...

Re: Transferring Between Temp Restricted Accts
Help: I am having a problem trying to transfer restricted amounts between restricted accounts. I believe that I understand the "method" of transferring because I have successfully done this with another fund BUT when I try to transfer the restricted contributions from Building Fund 01 housed in our...

Re: revised form 941 for 2021
Has the update come out for the 2021 tax reporting yet? I'm trying to process my tax filing for the first quarter of 2021, but the system still says 2020. They have always had it ready by the date it is needed, the IRS says the end of the quarter is March 31st. The form was officially released on t...

Re: Contributions > Import from Church Center?
Hi. I'd like to post this thread to see if anyone else out there is using Church Center for their online giving. I'm hoping that if we can get some traction, this may encourage PowerChurch to have the "Import from ChurchCenter" option in addition to the Vanco. Though - a work around question, when ...

Re: Transfer Question
I need to transfer a monthly amount from our Tithes (CR account) to our Blessing Account (CR account). I erroneously had made the entries from checking (DB) to Blessing (CR), but that is not correct. We save 10% of each months total tithes to the Blessing Account to give to special needs other than...

Re: Made too many mistakes! Can I start all over & redo last yr?
ANOTHER QUESTION -- Since I have to keep up to date on 2021 bills, payroll, etc., can I restart everything, add the account #'s, etc., start with the beginning balaces for Jan. 1, 2020, and then go ahead and jump ahead and begin adding in the entries for 2021 so I can keep prining checks and adding...

Re: Made too many mistakes! Can I start all over & redo last yr?
There's really no good answer for this. I don't believe you can use the DELETE OLD DATA function as I believe it requires all the months to be closed, and then the system won't let you add transactions to that time period. You could just restart accounting and enter all the checks, deposits, and so ...
