Mortgage
We just set up account and added the balance of our church mortgage on a liability under the general fund. When I print the Accounting Fund Balances report, it shows the General Fund as negative. Any way to not have this?

Why would you place the unrestricted net assets account into a fund that is for temporarily restricted? I was watching the training videos and noticed they placed unrestricted net assets into the Missions fund. A few reasons: 1. Not all Missions Income Accounts are 'temp restricted'. 2. Most Expens...

a church fundraiser dollars are deposited into the checking account and to be held in the ABC account. Which accounts do I debit and credit in order for the funds to show up in ABC? Can I do that in 2 lines or will I need 4? Sorry, double entry bookkeeping just throws me for a loop... What is 'ABC'...

Quick question on transitioning from manual checks to computer generated checks. We have quite a few manual checks left that we could write, but I know printing checks would increase my workflow a lot. What is the best practice for this? Wait until we are out of manual checks?
