Re: beginning Balance on Cheque Register - Followup

Thanks Jeff, none of your answer applies to how our church uses power church. What i really want is a report the tells us where we stand financially. Is there a report that shows the account bank balance, book balance(beginning and ending), income and expenses for the month as well as outstanding c...

Re: Network Powerchurch

We currently have v9 installed on one computer. I believe networking would give us greater flexability and get better use of this program. What are the restrictions on the server end. Can i get away with just sharing the information off an winxp computer ?? General Thoughts would be greatly appreci...

From your question, I'm assuming this: The church paid for some equipment or service from the general fund (or a specific fund for that matter). Someone has now come forward and is willing to donate the entire cost of said equipment or service. If this is correct, I would just accept the donation as...

Re: Salary Reduction

Has anyone set up payroll where insurance premiums are not taxable? Are these premiums that the church pays to the employee?? Then when you set up the payroll Item Descriptions you just set it up as income, but non-taxable. If these are a 'before tax' deductition, there is a knowledge base article ...

John, If what you're saying is true then all you should have to do is option B and you should have everything you want with one procedure. The ones that have e-mail addressed will be e-mailed and the ones that don't will be printed. Yup .. that's correct. I haven't used this in over a year (new chu...

Hmmm ... looks like that could be a neat addition to either the 'tales from tech 2' emails, or just to the knowledge base in general!!

Jeff: that's good news about the MR10 coming up. To answer your ??? Every couple years we delete all Activities & Skills. We survey the congregation with a several page form and then key in all their responses. So, we are adding many skills for each person so the Attendance idea was a good idea but...

Re: Events and Activities

Hi, Just want to make sure I'm clear on the best way to do this. Our church frequently has one-time events that are open to the whole church. Examples are a 60th Anniversary Celebration, a church picnic, or a field trip to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. Typically a sign-up sheet is circulated, or people...

I need a email address to send to. If you send an email through the forum, it will add the email address on file as the reply to address and I'll be able to send you a copy.

Actually starting in version 9, the Maintain Attenders screen is available in both Attendance and Activity & Skills. We made it available in SK because many people couldn't find it in AT and in some cases, people had rights to SK but not AT. DOH !! :wall: I have to admit, I didn't see it there, mos...

Are you editing many activity & skills for one person, or adding a bunch of people to one activity? If you are adding a bunch of people to one activite, try using the maintain attenders screen instead. It might be faster. This screen is often overlooked but is designed to be used when you need to a...
