Try to uninstall your current IDS client and reinstall. Clear your browser cache then download the client from http://www.mypowerchurch.com/clients/ids-client.exe and install. Check to see if the file C:\Windows\idsrdcli.exe exists. If not, copy idsrdcli.exe from C:\Program Files\IDS LLC\IDS Client\...

Are you running PowerChurch on a network? Usually, when we see this issue, it's because the network is losing connection while you're trying to access the program. It could be something as simple as a cable being bad, faulty NIC, or a miswired port. If it's happening on several computers on the netw...

Generate Event Calendars for website or word processor: This works, but there's currently an issue with how the clipboard text is handled when pasting into the word processor. It's not a PowerChurch issue, it's an issue with the server software we're using, and we've got a ticket in with the softwar...

I was able to recreate the issue using OSX 10.4. I'm not sure what it's doing, but if you type several apostrophes in a row, it eventually works. If you switch to HTML email instead of plain text (using the toggle on the Compose screen), it seems to work fine. I'll look into this to see if it's some...

I've had varying degrees of success getting PowerChurch to run under Linux. It seems that the versions prior to 8 run ok under Wine, but the later versions - not so much. Linux works fine as a file server to host PowerChurch data files though. I haven't tried Crossover to see how that works. There a...

You should be able to copy over the entire directory (typically C:\PowerChurch) to the new computer, then run the netsetup*.exe (will differ by version) to install the necessary system files.

We disabled links in emails as a spam-combating technique. Sorry about that. It sounds like you were pretty thorough, and thanks for sharing that with other users. One note though, a reindex would probably be a good idea after making any kind of external data change like that. (Utilities -> Reindex ...

There is not a "hybrid" version of PowerChurch Online, but your VPN solution should work. You'll want to install the program on the remote computer though, and point it to the data. The executable file is about 12MB, and while it's not a problem to run it over a LAN, it doesn't work so well over the...

Spam!

Many of you have received email spam originating from the forum. This is due to a user signing up on the forum and emailing folks through the email form. As soon as this activity was detected, the offending user was unceremoniously deleted, so hopefully this isn't an ongoing thing. If you guys are s...

Your email server isn't expecting a password, and you're supplying one. Turn off "my server requires authentication" and see if that helps.

That's right. There's not a setting in PowerChurch that will control the right and left margins. However, you can sometimes set the margins in your printer driver software (this will differ by printer), and PowerChurch will use your default printer settings to render the report. That may get the res...
