Out of curiosity, how many Personal Profiles do you have in the system?

What OS are the workstations running?

Have you disabled network scanning in the antivirus software on the workstations?

Re: Reassign Vendor ID

Hi: Thanks for adding the "Reassign Vendor ID" feature. It is great for clearing out old duplicate vendors. I notice however that if a vendor id I want to reassign is close to the one I want to reassign it to, I get an error message saying "You have chosen same ID for both options, please choose a ...

Accounts in the wrong category are accounts that are numbered outside of the defined ranges of accounts. As an example, an Asset account with the number 2150-000 would be outside of the defined range of 1000-1999 for Assets. Take a look at a Chart of Accounts report and scan down through the far rig...

There isn't any difference with any of the PowerChurch Plus versions 7 and higher, or with different Windows versions. The local files have to be installed and registered, or you will get the error you mentioned.

Maybe someone had installed PC+ on the XP workstation from the CD at one point?

Are there any other errors or messages before or after this one?

Any other information conveyed on the error message itself?

While an accounting background is beneficial, it certainly isn't required. We have done our best to make the setup and maintenance of all the different accounting functions in the program user-friendly and intuitive. If you stand back from it and let your eyes go , it may seem overwhelming at...

Have you run the Netsetup10 program on the Vista workstation yet? Browse out across the mapped drive, find Netsetup10.exe and run it. This will install and register all the DLLs and other system files locally that are needed to run PowerChurch Plus remotely. Also, it will place a proper shortcut on ...

Re: Mysterious Contribution Entries

My current church does not have a check reader, but at my old church I remember that if a check was read that was not in the database, the system would default to a different member's account. Just FYI, something was terribly wrong with this behavior! If you scan a check that is not in the database...

We do not have a fix for this.

There is a much easier fix in Office 2007, but since Microsoft added this into Office 2003 via a Service Pack, there are no menu options to change this behavior, making it necessary to edit the registry get around it.

In version 10, we have stopped backing up the .CDX (index) files. This saves a significant amount of space, as you can see!

The new index files are built from scratch when you restore the backup.
