honestly, there's so many little things that I think are probably wrong, it might just be easier for me to restart our books altogether but do it properly

Re: investment tracking and withdrawals
I knew enough not to enter it as a contribution, what I did was make a GE crediting the investment and debiting our bank account. No, the investment is not in a different accounting fund. We have two accounting funds: 1. General fund 2. Designated fund Not only that, within both of these funds, the ...

investment tracking and withdrawals
I want to get some advice on how I should handle an investment that the church has. It is held by a third party, and we make withdrawals from them. When we make a withdrawal, how should I enter it into powerchurch? Should it be entered as a contribution? If I don't enter it as a contribution, it won...

Re: unable to reconcile bank account
Yes, this was entered at the same time as other contributions.
What showed up was off by the amount of the new account.
Did the first entry debit the checking account? If so, will it have a negative effect to debit the checking account again?
Otherwise, I will do what you have suggested.

Accounting for Returned Overpayment
Also, Our phone company did something really silly. We sent them money in January but they deemed that we overpaid and instead of crediting our account, they sent the money back to us directly into our bank account. Now I need to make an entry in powerchurch to reflect this, So I want to know if can...

unable to reconcile bank account
Hi, I have an issue where a contribution is not showing up so that I can reconcile it. I think the issue is that it was entered into a newly created fund, but the fund wasn't set up properly. I discovered that it did not have a credit account, I have since added an appropriate account, but how do I ...

Re: Emailed Payroll Stubs are Password Protected
No, in power church. For all of the current employees, it shows random characters, something like this: xi_'sS|**QG.
Some of our former staff have SSN entered and it shows the actual numbers.
On the paystub it actually shows: XXX-XXX-XXX

SSN not properly displaying in Payroll
Hi,
does anyone else's show random characters assigned to the SSN? I didn't set up the employee information so I don't know if this is normal.
We have former employees whose info shows the actual numbers.
Thanks

incorrect reference numbers
Hi, I found this while doing monthly bank reconciliation: we have some cheques that were posted using the wrong cheque/reference numbers. Should I go back and reverse all the transactions and input the correct reference numbers for each, or I could simply include a note in the Transaction notes of t...

Re: posted transaction not appearing in reconciliation
Could it be that it doesn’t appear because the account it originally credited (incorrectly) was not the main operating account? ie 01-1110

Re: posted transaction not appearing in reconciliation
Ok, so it's actually kind of a good thing this happened  While I was looking into that particular transaction, I discovered that the wrong account was credited when I originally input it into powerchurch. However, I did try the reindex and the transaction appeared in the bank reconciliation. Bu...

posted transaction not appearing in reconciliation
I have a transaction that is not appearing in the bank reconciliation. When I look at Accounting > Fund Accounting > View posted transactions, it is there, but does not show up in bank reconciliation. The date of the transaction was April 15, 2019. For some reason it is showing the date entered as T...
