Re: Eliminating a Fund # and transferring the funds to new f
I have a fund called Easter Giving. We have recently begun a fund called Seasonal Giving (for all holiday contributions). I would like to transfer the funds from Easter to Seasonal and then delete the Easter Fund number. I know I can do this by individual members, but is there a way to do all of th...

This is a new feature that has been added to version 10. Signup for the beta if you need access to this now and help us make sure the feature is working correctly. The beta period is quickly coming to a close and we are working as hard as we can to make sure the program is as stable as possible. I ...

Re: Pension Act of 2006
The Pension Act of 2006 (passed Congress in August 2006) has amended the tax code to the extent that cash contributions must be substantiated by either a bank record (cancelled check) or written receipt from the charitable organization/church. This places a significant burden on our contributions c...

Re: PCP 9.0 E-Mail Statements
I run PCP with latest MRs on WinXP SP2 using a P4 3.5GHz machine. I prepared third quarter giving statements to be emailed within PCP. While I asked for full details to be sent, and indeed, that is what prints out for those of our congregation who do not have email addresses listed, what has been s...

I understand that the data could be converted for a fee. But I need to know if the data could be converted by hand through the import and export mechanism. 1) First, do you have some kind of import mechanism that an external file (a csv, an excel, a tab delimited, or access) could be brought in at ...

Thanks for the suggestion. I see I forgot to give vital info, such as version 9 and WinXP, but it looks as though the specific thing I was hoping to do is not possible anyway. In your old church, Neil, did you have a way to indicate that someone had been trained but hadn't yet submitted their paper...

Re: Posting to a closed month/year
Our church is currently using PCP version 9 (maint release 11/05) under Dell machines with Windows XP Professional. I was asked to do an extensive audit of the church books. I discovered that the church and parsonage mortgages have not been amortized since 12/31/03. I have the amounts, but I can't ...

Re: Viewing data in Microsoft Access
Is there a way to view Powerchurch data files in microsoft access ? (If not, can the data be exported out from powerchurch, and then imported back into access?) Also, what is the internal database that is used for Powerchurch data files ? Thanks. :) You can export into a number of different formats...

Re: How to import members from Excel ?
We have our member list information details stored inside an excel file (which could be easily be converted to a comma delimited, or a tab delimited file). Is there a way to import that file into the membership table of powerchurch ? P.S. We can format the column names and order if needed. Thanks. ...

Re: Use Field from Attendance in Activities/Skills
Is there any way to show an attendance date in an Activities/Skills custom report? Or alternatively, use the Skill Level, Interest Level, and Years Experience fields in an Attendance custom report? I am using these fields to indicate whether paperwork has been received for child safety training, an...

Re: New user question
My church just purchased power church. Our secretary uses access now for our labels. Can we transfer that information directly to pcp or is it easier to reenter everything. There is no direct way to transfer that data into PC+. I know that for a fee, the Powerchurch office will convert the mailing ...

I have an additional question. I have deceased persons who are flagged deceased in the personal records and the date of death is recorded in the dates section, yet, they show up on the birthday list that pops up when I open PC. If you are in a church that acknowledges birthdays, this could cause a ...

Re: Class enrollment
We currently use PowerChurch Version 9 - I have SLOWLY been trying to bring our church into the computer generation. They aren't always eager for the change so there are still some areas where I have to balance numbers and figures between PowerChurch and an outdated attendance program. Is there any...
