Are you getting any errors or anything like that? PowerChurch runs fine on Windows XP, it was actually developed on XP so that is not going to be the problem. can not update the cursor means the file is seen as read-only, either by permissions or the actual attributes of the file are read-only. Here are some links. Currently the newest version of PowerChurch (8.5) can only backup to removeable drives such as 3.5 drives, zip drives, and also CD Rewritable drives. When you get into the report designer you need to delete the check stub blocks so the only thing showing is one check.
