Re: Automated scheduled actions executed by PC, possible?

I have found how I can execute a Database Manager query to create a .csv file with emails in it and NeilZ confirmed PC+ 10 can have arbitrary sub-groups, like a committee, selectable. Can I set up PC+ 10 to create such a .csv file as a scheduled task, either using windoze task scheduler or a built ...

Re: emailing church sub-groups, can't do ?

I am looking to be able to do a group emailings to arbitrary sub-groups in the church. Can PCplus 10 do it? For example, several folks are members of the Property committee. I want to email the group from PCplus. Can I do it? I have been poking in all the documentation and searched the website, but...

AFAIK ... Foxpro uses standard ODBC .. now is a Foxpro specific driver needed, can't hazard a guess, I'm only a user. As far as a 'server-based' application, many churches have networks, but not a server based network. At my last church, we had PC+ setup on the server, but it was setup using the sta...

Re: Automated listserv distribution list creation ?

New user with a question. I want to be able to run a automatic scheduled script that queries the Power Church members' email list and pulls out emails based on member groupings (such as committee membership or personal interests or ...). The resulting file would ideally be a simple text file with o...

Re: Custom Mailintg Labels

We use Avery 5161 labels for name tags. The name tags have a large font for the first name and a smaller font fort the last name. How can we build a name tag like this in PC 9.0? We use Windows XP. Thanks. You would need to create a custom report. But I think it would be much easier to export the d...

Re: Power Church internals for possible Linux use ?

What database does Power Church use? Custom or ??? Can one query the database via shell scripts? What is the query language? Is the database table structure openly defined, such that it could be replicated in non-proprietary database? Thanks for any info. Sincerely, Allen Wilkinson Powerchurch uses...

I found this error when transitioning to version 10 from version 9. We have PowerChurch Plus installed on a Windows 2003 Small Business Server. I went to the PCPlus10 folder and applied Full Control NTFS permissions to the Data folder for the PowerChurchPlusUsers group I set up. Now that I think of...

Re: Only one record per family, with only one person (profil

We are creating a form, one family per page, for folks to fill in and correct the info we already have. There will be several more fields once I get the basic format working. There is documention on Custom Reports in the user's manual, as well as a set of tutorials that you can buy from Powerchurch...

Re: Only one record per family, with only one person (profil

No - the only criterium in the filter is that the Last Name key field isn't blank. Another user told me that for some reason there have to be certain fields in the filter and the grouping, including "Directory Sequence". Does anyone know where to find detailed documentation for Custom Reports? Than...

Re: Only one record per family, with only one person (profil

Thanks - that's not quite the problem. I only get one record per family, and that record has the profile first name and birth date of only one person, even when there are several people in the family. The others don't appear anywhere in the report. Are you filtering by personal profile status code ...

As Tom said, try a reindex in Version 9 then do the conversion again. The easiest way to do this is to uninstall Version 10, then delete the folders and subfolders. Then reinstall.

I found this post from 2005. This is a better procedure: To convert just her copy of the membeship and then combine it with the other modules from the other workstations: 1. Install a new copy of version 9 into a new folder. 2. When prompted convert the data from the membership secretaries computer...

I just discovered that ver 10 is now available by visiting your website. Was there a mailing/announcement made to your members? If so, I missed getting mine. Also, how long will your technical staff support ver 9? Thanks. Al As a long time user, I can tell you that they're still doing some support ...
