This isn't a solution for version 9, but is a plug for version 10. In version 10, we have added a new contribution type field. Contribution types are checks, cash, credit card, online etc. When you post you can select which types on contributions to post so you can post credit cards seperately from...

Re: Absentee Report for Specific Activity Code

When I run "Summary of Personal Attendance" for a specific activity code, I'm getting all members vice only those for whom we have identified as part of the specific activity. Please advise.. Have you run a database reindex lately ?? This seems to straighten out most problems. FWIW ... when I was a...

Neil, We're doubling the size of our facility. Once complete, a 1000 seat sanctuary is on the drawing board. I've got three 48 port 10/100/1000 switches going in, new phone switch, alarm system, etc. The fun has begun! Hope your move was uneventful. Jeff Good Grief !! When we did our 350 seat...

Re: Check Register

I have 4 computer generated checks from AP that show as transactions in Fund Accounting but do not show on my check register. This is a first for me. I don't know how to resolve. I want all transactions to show on the check register. Help? Just wondering ... have you posted the transactions yet ??

Re: Sending emails from remote locations

One of our volunteers sends out weekly messages and the monthly newsletter by email from his home computer. The people who want to receive these two types of message are different subsets of our congregation. I want this volunteer to be able to send these messages using the email addresses we're st...

If the last 5 digits are not repeated in your system, just eliminate that first digit for your system.

I suspect that this is a good item for the wish list.

Re: Emergency contacts

We want to be able to store emergency contact information at the family level. I wonder if anyone has solved this problem. We're thinking we need a contact name and number in two situations: 1. a child has an emergency at an event and the parents are not available - who do we call? 2. a single elde...

Beckln, if you're going to run this way, you're asking for trouble. I can see multiple instances of data being overwritten, lost, etc. We keep ALL our data on our church system, so there are no sync issues, plus it is backed up daily via our network's daily backup, and weekly offsite backups are mad...

Re: Reports Show Names in Different Formats

Having a problem with my report output - when I run a report certain names show in a differnt format. For example, if my list shows names like this: John Doe, every once in a while it will show a name in the list like this: DOE, John. The same name is consistently displayed this way and I can't fin...

Re: Picture Directory w/ Bar Code

Is there anyway to make a pictorial directory that includes the barcode....or can I make barcode photo id's with PowerChurch? In a word ... no. That said, you may be able to export the barcodes and name, then the photo directory to two files. Then manipulate the files to add the barcodes. However, ...

Neil, I wish you and your wife well in this new direction. It sounds like you'll be taking on an entirely different dimension of ministry, and that's ok. I've been nose down in a building program of late. We just finished running about 4200 feet of phone and data CAT wire to each office and ministr...

Re: Entering bank transactions for reconciling

Hi I asked this question in another post, but I need more detailed help. When entering bank fees and interest, what number is used for the reference number (for ref./check no)? How are NSF checks handled? Are they processed in Fund Acounting also? Is there a report or something that is generated th...
