Re: Import Vanco Accounting Posting Error
OK, think I understand your question. The new Accounting Fund 02 is a whole new accounting fund that I set up recently. I have 6 other accounting funds that are also set up. The only thing that VANCO knows about is the Contribution Fund number, they don't know anything about Accounting Funds. The VA...

Re: Import Vanco Accounting Posting Error
Sorry I see that my spaces got removed when I posted this so it makes it hard to read. The debits and credits post correctly, it's just that the ONLINE DEPOSIT transaction moves the total funds but just uses the transit and asset account for one fund. It should be posted to each asset account from t...

Import Vanco Accounting Posting Error
I've got an issue with how Vanco import is working. I'm not sure which module generates the transactions so I'm posting under accounting. I set up a new accounting fund and added our checking asset account and Vanco transit account to this new fund. This fund receives income through the process of a...

Re: Vanco Text & Online Contribution Issues
My idea would be to set up a separate contribution fund in Power church that would indicate text contributions and have the Vanco account for text post to that contribution fund.

Re: Monthly Contribution Total Report
I'm not sure it's clear what I'm seeing. Let's use this example. Set up a family with the following entries: Seq Profile Name Personnel Status Env. 1 John Brown Non-member 100 2 Lisa Brown Member 100 If you run the following reports "Monthly Contributions", "Fund Total by Envelope" and "Yearly Total...

Re: Monthly Contribution Total Report
Ok didn't realize that first person listed as Seq 1 should always be listed as member. Occurs when husband and wife are not both members. Is this only report that just looks at first person listed in family?

Monthly Contribution Total Report
It appears that if you select the "Monthly Contribution Report" and make a selection under personnel status, then it will only include the envelope number if the first person in the family, Seq 1, has that personnel status. As example, had a family where the first person listed was not classified as...

Re: Direct Deposit Service Provider
OK, I didn't understand your question. We set the payments up through our bank and didn't use a third party provider. I don't have any experience with the company you referenced.

Re: Correcting a posted contribution
You may also want to talk to your bank about doing direct check deposits using check scanning equipment. Many banks will give you this equipment and then the checks can be scanned directly into your bank account any time. The scanner will in most cases read the check amount directly from the check a...

Re: Direct Deposit Service Provider
Using a bank's direct ACH transfer to deposit payroll for our employees is working well. You enter the net payroll amount for each employee, check amount if you were writing a check, and the date the transfer is to occur. All the payroll accounting is done in Power Church payroll module. Our bank ch...

Re: Change Heading on Contributions Report
Thanks Neil, excellent suggestion. I tried it and works great. I still hope that PC folks will look at my suggestion and give us an option to change the heading to "Estimate of Giving". That way I can email the contribution statements instead of printing them and mailing them. I've talked to several...

Change Heading on Contributions Report
Is there a way to change the title Pledge Summary and column heading from Pledge to Estimate of Giving. We used the Estimate of Giving terminology and it helped increase the number we received. I would like to use this terminology on the contribution reports if possible. I've turned in a suggestion ...

Re: Direct Deposit Service Provider
You may want to check with your current bank. Most banks offer direct ACH transfers that allows you to transfer money from your account to any account at any bank. Our bank charges $25 per month for up to 50 transactions each month and I think 25 cents a transaction after that. It's easy to set up, ...

Re: Emailing Contribution Statements
Thanks for your reply. I had changed email settings prior to sending emails the last time so it sounds like a similar problem.
