Recording Temporarily Restricted Transaction ??
I am using v11. We have one fund and two checking accounts. Checking #1 is the primary account and Checking #2 is the account where temporarily restricted monies are held. Our emergency fund is one of those temporarily restricted accounts. A check was written for $10k from Checking #1 to Checking #2...

Re: Sync to Google Fail
Thank you for the replies. Yes, it is doing it every time I try to sync. What do I tell customer service when I call with program issues such as this one? I attempted yesterday and couldn't get to technical support. I was told I needed a contract. Is there any reason to contact tech support about th...

Re: Sync to Google Fail
I am getting this error also. Has it been fixed yet?
I attempted to call technical support, but I don't have a service contract.

Shelley

Updating from V10 to v11
When our minister recently updated his v10 to v11, he cannot see all the files I input from my end. My computer is administrator. Version 10 was working fine for us. I updated to when it first came out. He did just last week. When we were both v10 everything was fine. He has access to everything. If...

Re: Difference in check register and balance sheet
That was so totally awesome! Thanks. Found two transactions. It is amazing what a little accounting knowledge will do. I feel so less inadequate.

Difference in check register and balance sheet
I am not an accountant and don't know where to look for discrepancies to correct errors. I am setting up PowerChurch Plus v11. The plan is to compare my data with our previous accountant's data to see that I can run Power Church plus properly and I am decently trained. The other system and bookkeepe...

Re: How are credit card purchases entered?
Thank you. I think the last post in that thread is what I am looking for. I am/was concerned that it wasn't the appropriate way to do it because we don't carry a balance.

How are credit card purchases entered?
I'm confused again...big surprise, I know. :) I am using v.11. We have credit cards, but carry no balances. Because we carry no balances, I have not set them up with accounts, just vendor information. I have a receipt from the post office charged to a credit card. I thought I could treat these like ...

Re: Liability vs. Expense
Thank you. That makes the mud a little viscous. So, what I have learned from this post is that it is fine and expected in certain cases to have a pass-thru liability account to Missionary #1 AND an expense account to Missionary #1. I am not making some huge accounting faux pas.

Re: Liability vs. Expense
Do I need an expense account for those that we send regular monthly support to out of the regular contribution? I think my question is arising from the fact we get pass-thru funds for some of the same people we send regular monthly support. Do I need an expense account for the monthly support or do ...

Pass-thru or Restricted?
Our children participate in a weekly contribution. These funds are used to send to various children's homes on a monthly basis. At the end of each month, I total up the amount collected and send it to the next home on the list. Is this a restricted or pass-thru scenerio?
