Payroll
Hello, I know this is not the correct way to proceed, but wanted to know what problems I would encounter if I did payroll and the chart of accounts are not yet properly setup. We are on version 11.5 and our Office Administrator has been handling payroll via a web service, there is now some problem a...

Posting contributions
Hello, I have been working on our chart of accounts for several months and have not yet completed them, if I were to post the contributions would this affect anything with the chart of accounts. I have several reports that we are needing by fund for our capital campaign. I am hoping to be finished v...

Re: Chart of Accounts
During the setup it actually showed the various contribution funds (i.e., Tithes, Offering, Youth Ministry, Sunday School, God's Girls, etc.). Should this have not been seen? Should I restart accounting again?

Re: Chart of Accounts
Thanks for your response. I was asking if I needed to set up a seperate account for the family life center custodian ( this was how the previous comittee had it). I was thinking since you have support staff and you have both the general acct and family life center acct you just charge to this based ...

Chart of Accounts
Hello, We upgraded to 11.5 and I restarted the accounting setup since the previous Finance Ministry had some duplicates as well as the subaccounts were not correct. I have a few questions: 1. We have two custodians one for the church and one for the family life center. Under staff support I only lis...

Pledges

Deleting Vendor
Good morning, A vendor was entered incorrectly and so the check was voided and the vendor deleted. However, it still appears that I cannot delete the invoice, as the error message indicates that the invoice is still open. How do I delete this invoice. We will never use this vendor as it was a mistak...

Payroll
Does anyone's secretary or church administrator fill out time records or do you use the time off calendar?
Any suggestions as to how others handle this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Payroll
Thanks so much. I was waiting on information such as cost of land when it was initially purchased, and cost of the buildings which first built. Our church's recordkeeping was not the best. Our current facility was built in the 70's but the land was purchased in the 60's. Just wanted this portion of ...

We are currently using 11.5 for contributions and 10.4 for accounting, as we have not completed our chart of accounts. In that we had not completed the chart of accounts, I did not post any contributions, however the process of getting the information I need to complete the chart of accounts is taki...

Payroll
We are currently using version 11.5, for contributions only, and are still using 10.4 for accounting. Our previous Finance team did not use payroll in 10.4, but instead was using a free version via the web. This version is now causing some problems and I set up the payroll in 10.4 (we are still tryi...

Procedure for paying bills
Hello, What suggestions would you have for aprocess with paying bills? For example when our bills come the Church Secretary makes a copy of the bill and gives it to the Church Treasurer. The Treasure then enters the transaction into Powerchurch. Checks are then written based on funds and due date, t...

Re: Reimbursement to church
Could we just have included this in loose offering, and then had the paperwork to explain?
