If an employee decides to tithe as a deduction on their paycheck, does it decrease their taxable income? I know it’s more of an accountant type question, but was curious what you all would say.

I did that, but then felt like we should have some sort of paper trail for it in our end. I suppose it’s not that important.

I figured what the problem was. I had the Petty Cash account as a 1110 account number (1110-100 to be exact). I wasn't realizing that. It is set up as Level 5 - which our checking account is too. I'm at a loss ... I just tested this on my test system. Created a manual check 01-1110-000 Checking CR 100.00 01-1251-000 Petty Cash DB 100.00 posted in AR,then posted in FA, shows up in account activity tab in the Chart of Accounts, and ...

In your last post you said to DB Checking and CR Petty Cash. The past post you said to DB Petty Cash and CR checking.

I see the check in AP. I even see the check under Posted Transactions. When I am on thenreconsile screen the amount just shows 0.00. Everywhere else shows the correct amount.
