1099s will not be added to payroll. Even though pastors are considered self employed for tax purposes, they should still receive a W2. We suggest you talk with a qualified accountant. Try to find one with experience doing clergy taxes. There are several issues that a person might not be familiar wit...

Do the barcodes appear when you run the report to the screen? The font it is using is BC UPC Narrow. Can you use this report in Word a does it print from that application? Some printer drivers will take a little more room to print some fonts than others. The printer driver for the WIN98 machine may ...

NeilZ, You might need a maintenance release. There was an issue a while back where we adjusted the area for the barcode because some printers were dropping the barcode. We increased the area for the barcode and it seems to have fixed the problem. You can download a MR from http://www.powerchurch.com...

If you are still in your first month, you can also just do a journal transaction to move the balance from one account to the other. You will not be abe to delete from the COA, but you would not have to start over. To do this from your example you would debit the 02-4101-000 and credit the 02-4102-00...

If you are changing the budget of an account that already has budget shown, PowerChurch will split the budget in proportion to the current budget. In other words, mkanz said his budget was 10,000 with the first 5,000 budgeted in January. If I understood correctly his budget would look like this: Jan...

There is not a way to out the account distribution on your check stubs. If you wan to see distrbution run the Open (unposted items) report with the include accounts distribution item checked. Out of curiousity, why do you want to see this information on a check stub? Account distribution is internal...

In your situation, it would probably be best to add the pledge as a yearly pledge. The program can add new pledges based on existing pledges. If you go to contributions -> year end pledge processing, PowerChurch will create new pledges for existing pledges that expire on a certain date. I hope this ...

Re: additional modules

Do you know if there are any plans to add additional modules besides the mailing lists to Pocket PowerChurch (such as some of the financial)? I am the finance chair, and it would be nice to be able to refer to the data on our server from my Sony Clie'. Jay, Pocket PowerChurch was designed primarily...
