Re: Restricted Donor Fund

To get it to be automatic, change the released from restriction account in the Accounting Setup. You can use the balance sheet or the changes in equity accounts report to see the current balances of the donor restrictions.

Re: Restricted Donor Fund

The 02-4999-000 account that says unknown is not in your chart of accounts. Or at least not in the 02 fund. Go to the maintain chart of accounts screen and see if the 4999-000 account is in the 02 fund. If it is not, add it to the 02 fund.

Re: Recording checking to savings transfers

In this case each of the funds carries a balance in the TIMM account. So you would set up the TIMM account in each fund just like your checking account. For example if the TIMM account number is 1210 you would have a 01-1210-000 for the amount of money fund 01 has in the TIMM account, 02-1210-000 fo...

Re: Limited Length of Acct Description Lines?

Account descriptions are 25 characters. The length does not vary from one account to the next. The input fields in PowerChurch use a variable size font. So an 'i" and "W" do not take the same amount of space on the screen. We try to size the fields so that by the time you get to 25 characters the fi...

Re: Deceased directory number

The part I think you are missing is using the Personal Status Code on each person's profile. The personal status code is used to indicate that individual's relationship with the church. So if someone is a member, you mark them as a member, if they are visitor, you marked them as a visitor. When some...

Re: Attendance FDE Name Removal

Neil's method will keep them from showing when recording new dates off attendance. It sounds though you want to remove them from a date that you have already recorded attendance for. Here is what I expect has happened. You started recording attendance for a date example 2/1/2015 Realized a person on...

Re: Contributions

Then there should not be a problem. You still should be able to reconcile your January bank statement. The deposit will just be un-reconciled until your February bank statement. The same thing would happen with checks you mailed on the last day of the month. It is proper to give credit to the donor ...

Re: Bringing non-budgeted funds into 2015 software

What did you do in version 9? You shouldn't have to do anything different in version 11,5 that you did in version 9. How are you tracking these carry over balances? I have a feeling that you are looking at an income and expense report. The income and expense does not show balances, but how much has ...

Re: Construction Loan

Usually people set up a construction in progress asset account and a Construction Loan Liability account.

As you make draws on the loan, you credit the loan liability and debit the construction in progress asset account.

Re: Custom Report

We probably need to know what you mean by balance. There are many different "balances" that are kept as part of the accounting system.

If you give us a more specifics as to what you are trying to do, we might be able to recommend which reports to use that are already built in.

Re: Missing accounts on reports

Are you running the reports for 2015? If so do those accounts have activity yet this year? By default the I&E report only shows those accounts that have activity.

When you run the I&E report there is an option to include zero balance accounts, check that option to see if the accounts appear.

Re: Contribution Deductible Status

To make sure I understand your question correctly, let me restate it. You have created a contribution fund group for non-tax deductible contributions. This was done under contributions -> setup -> maintain custom codes -> contribution fund types. You are wanting this information to show on a contrib...

Re: Nametags

If the people are in an activity, you can print name tags for the activity.

Go to Membership -> Attendance -> Reports - Attendance. The Activity Name Tag report is the second in the list.
