Re: Perplexing situation re: "posted" item not showing up where it is supposed to
We are using the most current edition of the software. Our church does manual checks. I entered a check made out to the IRS for our payroll taxes, nothing different than I have ever done. I posted the check in the Accounts Payable Module and I can see it in Fund Accounting under View Posted Transac...

Re: Paid invoice corrected, now I have a credit
Hi, I've only been using PowerChurch for about a month and am still trying to figure everything out; I used QuickBooks in my prior job. Before my time, we received an invoice for our copiers. It was paid, but then we realized the invoice was incorrect. The vendor corrected the invoice, which ended ...

Re: Accountant needed
Looking for a church accountant (Northern Virginia) - Any tips ? Should they be familiar with Power church, etc.? Thanks. They should know how to do double-entry bookkeeping. The program itself is fairly easy to use, its the double entry part that causes a lot of confusion. They should also underst...

Re: Changing A Congregants Address in Contributions
I need to change an address of a contributor. I have been unable to determine a way to do this. Could you advise? Thank you. Are you using the online or desktop product and what version? If you're using the desktop version (v 14.4): Membership > Integrated Data Entry, use Locate to find the record,...

Re: Changes get lost in Accounting setup
Help, please. I'm just trying to do the accounting setup and find that changes keep getting lost. For example, an account that's been deleted reappears. I don't see a way to "save" work. What am I doing wrong? Thank you. -- Paul M. If you're in accounting setup, you should be able to click on the E...

Re: Payroll
This is very helpful and it worked perfectly on my part. However, about the 941. If this mileage reimbursement is set up by going to Payroll>Setup>maintain item description>Item no=28>description=Associate Pastor mileage reimbursement>type=income>tax options =non-taxable, does checking non-taxable ...

Re: Payroll
From what I can tell over the years travel for the minister has either been paid at the current IRS mileage rate or the budget has included an annual budget and the minister was paid 1/12 of the budget each month. Is there a correct/preferred method? If travel is not a normal reimbursement for mile...

Re: Payroll
PC Online How do you add a monthly budgeted travel amount to payroll? Or is it better to issue a monthly check? As I understand monthly travel is not an income and if travel can be added to payroll, how do you make sure the travel amount is not taxed or included in the 941 figures. Thank you. A few...

Re: Custom Check Layout/Printing
PC V.14.4 Custom Check Layout. I have 3 checks per sheet. I went into Custom check layout and copied the layout 2 more times on the page. However, the same information prints on 3 different checks. How do I set up a custom check layout for 3 checks per page? Thank you in advance. This check design ...

Re: Temporary restricted without release accounts
It is the income and expense accounts that impact the equity or fund balances. When you set up a new income or expense account, PC+ asks what equity account this should "close to". Assets and liabilities do not directly impact the fund / equity balances (unless you do some rather unorthodox journal...

Re: Temporary restricted without release accounts
If I set up an equity account for a specific (i.e. temporarily restricted) purpose, and I only use income and expense accounts that close to that equity account, why do I need to add release transactions? This is an issue of clarity and simplicity - none of the people who look at my reports underst...

Re: Total Income Report
For clarification: Lottie Moon in this example is set up as a pass-through account. In other words, the money came in and went right back out to the designated purpose. Still, I need to reflect the fact that it "passed through" on the financial statement that I present to the church for this month....

Re: Hours Worked
Have you checked the Wage and Hour Report ?? You have the options for various date ranges, or a defined range of dates.SecondPres wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 8:52 pmDoes anyone know of a report in the PowerChurch payroll module that will show me the number of hours work for each employee for a specific time period?
