Re: Restart Accounting Files
Is there an easier way to change the accounting numbers. Can I change the expense accounts to the 8000 numbers and then start with changing them back to the number that I would like them to be. Sure can ... you just can't delete accounts that have entries posted to them, but you can renumber using ...

Re: Entries for Buildng Fund Deposit
I have a budgeted "building fund expense" which I wish to deposit quarterly into a M/M fund for future use. The M/M Fund is set up as an asset in the same accounting fund as my checking. So, how do I send money to the M/M fund, debit the BF expense, credit the checking, and debit the building fund ...

Re: importing to v9
Not too long ago I took a Microsoft Works file, fiddled with it, and imported it into v9 (possible as a comma-delimited or similar file). The data is available in Family Mailing Lists, but NOT in Personal Profiles. How can this data be moved into Personal Profiles without entering it all by hand.? ...

Re: fix
I have a stand alone Gateway Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1700MHz with 1.69 GHz, 256 MB of RAM running with Windows XP Professional Version 2002 and Service Pack 2. I was wondering, should I uninstall, then reinstall the whole program? Really need to get it to work soon. First of the year and all. FWIW ... run...

Re: Petty Cash Receipts into Contributions
A few of our members have submitted cash receipts for expenses incurred in Church Events. Instead of being reimbursed, they have asked if we could enter it as a donation (contribution). How would I enter this without messing up my bank balance? Thanks. Very easily: Review these two articles from Te...

Re: Gifts to Pastor
In reading the discussion on Gifts to Pastor, I observed some opinions that I think need clarification. Instead of trying to explain I would like to suggest refrencing documents available from your denomination. I am Southern Baptist and in Texas the BGCT has issued a document titled "Tax Guide For...

Yup ... just use a different folder name, and don't 'convert' any data.maviszook wrote:Can I install another copy of the program, containing no data, for a fresh start, while leaving the old version in place?

Re: OLE ERROR CODE
Now when I try to backup or restore all I get is this code. I think it means that the program does not know that the backup it there. What do I do? Is this where I run the install disc again? Thanks :?: You didn't say what version of Powerchurch you're using, which would help in troubleshooting. Ho...

Re: barcodes (postal)
Haven, since you brought up this topic, and since PowerChurch doesn't have the capability to do postal bar codes for mailing, I'd like to make a recommendation to assist in your ministry. We have found a program called Postage$aver that adds barcodes to mailings, as well as doing the presorts neces...

Re: Considering Purchasing PC
I am considering purchasing power church for our church - I see many positives posted. What are the negatives ? Thanks in advance. JR With the latest version, I don't see that many. However, what are your plans for using it at the church, all functions, or only certain modules?? (IE: Membership onl...
