I've got one that I use, its not pretty as far as the output, but that can be adjusted: All I use is this: (Date Joined is greater than or equal to (date to be entered later)) and (Skill Number between XXX and YYY) The XXX and YYY are the numbers where we set up our 'activities'. The output, as I sa...

Jeff, In your example, let me see if I followed you correctly, as you know I'm more membership/contributions than accounting, but I'd like to be able to understand the accounting side more. The bank account for fund 30 is the same physical account that is referenced under fund 10. This is basically ...

Re: April Income showing up in May??
Why would April income be showing up on the May reports? I've verified that the 4/30 contributions were posted on 4/30 by pulling a funds report in the contributions module, even though the contributions were not put in until 5/1 - they don't show up anywhere in May. However, when I pull an Account...

Re: Change Attendance code
Can anyone suggest a way to batch change the attendance entries? I have recently been tasked with providing more detailed attendance data from PowerChurch. Up until this point, ALL worship attendance was entered under the activity code of 1000. Since this is actually used as a heading number, what ...

Re: Powerchurch on Lapton
Thanks for your reply. We are an associational office, so I wanted to take the laptop to one of our churches and be able to enter Powerchurch information, but if it is not possible I won't. Thank you very much for the information. You would have to load the laptop with a full copy of Powerchurch, b...

Re: Sudden feature failures
I'm the new pastor of a church that has been using Power Church Plus 7, and I'm not familiar with the software. However, my secretary tells me that Selected Transactions reports will only run year-to-date, Account Activity reports will not run and starting in April, the software will not post Fund ...

Doesn't that automatically exclude those that have pledged but not contributed? We want the report to be a record for those who gave. We also use it as a reminder for those who have pledged (whether they've contributed or not). So, we want to filter out only those who neither pledged nor contribute...

Re: Contribution report filtering
I find that when generating quarterly contribution statements to be mailed to our congregation, I can't get the filter right so that only those reports I'm interested in are printed. What I want to print out are statements for those who either: 1) Pledged to contribute to the church or 2) Contribut...

Re: Restricted Fund Accounting - PC vs ACS
We are a Canadian church of about 800 families, and have been a happy Power Church user for about 6 years. We have used almost everything except the fund accounting module. We use QuickBooks for the accounting system, with all contributions and pledges recorded in Power Church. Recently, our new au...

Re: How do I handle credit card donations?
Not "cash", not "check", but donations made by credit card. We've just started letting people pay their pledges, or make donation by credit card. Is there a way to handle this in PowerChurch? Right now we're listing them as cash, but that throws off the deposit report. We're hand-editing the deposi...

thanks Neil! After having a training session for my Counters last night, that is EXACTLY what we decided to do! If we try to "monkey" with the deposit by taking cash out of one account and putting it into another one, it messes up the audit trail (and really confused my Financial Secretary to boot!...

Re: consecutive absence report
How can I get a mail merge of the people who are on the consecutive absence report? Thanks, Trish You can't directly. However, you can create a custom report that will do the same thing, and then pull the data in comma delimited format for use in a mail merge. If you just want to get a mail merge o...

Re: One Check, Two Funds (2 bank accounts)
We're using the check reader and I have a couple of people who are writing ONE CHECK that part of it goes to Tithe and part of it goes to a Building Fund that are separate accounts at the bank. We used to be able to handle this by just grabbing the amount of the Building Fund in cash and put it in ...
