Re: Cell phones not in Phone Number List?

Cell or Mobile phone is an option for a phone type. Since cell phones would be belong to the individual rather than the household unit, you would enter cell phones on the personal profiles.

Re: Duplicate Contribution Files Uploaded

If they are still unposted, you can just delete the duplicate entries from the Modify Unposted Contributions Screen. If they have been posted already, you could delete old data in contributions and then reimport the contributions to add them back. In this case if you are also using accounting you ma...

Re: One Check - Multiple Funds

What most people do is all deposits are made into one account and they move money to the other accounts. There is...

Re: How to delete a column on existing report

Re: Gift card payroll entry

For the future there is an easier way to do this in payroll. You can setup a taxable benefit item. This will increase the amount of taxable income without adding additional dollars to a pay check. This was originally added to handle the taxable benefit of certain life insurance policies, but should ...

Re: Deleting Fund Accounting data

If you do a restart in Fund Accounting, you will have to set your chart of accounts back up again. In this case it sounds like you want to use the delete data option in fund accounting. 1. Make a backup before you start. 2. Close all the accounting months you have posted transactions to. 3. Using th...

Re: Pictorial Directory photo size

when you import a picture into PowerChurch, even in the higher resolution mode, it is down sampled to 800 x 600. This is normally enough resolution to print a 2x3 picture. Which is usually large enough for database type reports. We have done lots of work to make pictures look better in the built in ...

Re: Use Webcam to Capture Family Photo

If you have check in, you can update the family photo from a manned kiosk station. If you need access to attendance information, you could run both PowerChurch and the check in kiosk at the same time and switch and forth between them.

You might want to also look at the detail changes in equity. It will show you the transactions that are closed into a particular equity account. Seeing the detail of what changed in donor restriction is what we had in mind for creating this report.

Re: How to show giving that isn't monetary

Just to chime in here with a related topic. Your accounting treatment of the donation is a separate issue from the contribution receipting. Form a contributions receipting view it is a non-cash gift and there are special rules to receipt the donation. On the accounting side there are reasons to stil...

Re: Contribution in lieu of reimbursement

The accounting side yes. You could make an entry the debits the Office Supplies expense and credits the Kitchen Equipment income. This would show an increase it he Office Supplies expense and an increase in the Kitchen Equipment income. The problem is the contribution side. By turning in the receipt...

Re: automated messaging

I have looked into sending text messages. There is not really a good way to send bulk text messages for free. Sending to vtext.com would require you get from each of members their cell phone carrier and if they change their carrier the messages do not bonce, so you wouldn't know that the message is ...
