Library Book Labels
Anyone have any experience with using PC 12 for library books? We are looking at adding the library inventory data (via import or manual) into PC 12. The standard PC report is a 3x5 index card, which is fine, but we also would like to add labels for the books themselves - similar to the "dewey" syst...

Deceased Donor Records
Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove deceased donors from a combined husband and wife donor record? In other words, if a husband died in 2019 but he and his spouse donated funds during 2019, we normally include both names on the annual donor report for that year. Even though he would be show...

Annual Budget Entry
We’re starting work on our 2020 budget, and would like to use the current year budget figures as a starting point. Is there any way in the budget entry screens to copy current year budget figures to the new year and avoid re-entry of all line items?
Thx,
Greg

Re: Revise a donor envelope number
Neil - good catch on changing the member info. I changed the old names to “none” classification, and the new entries to “member”. Ran a contribution report test and bingo. All is well. Thx!

Re: Revise a donor envelope number
Worked like a charm. Thanks again for the suggestion. Greg I personally would ADD a new Family member to their profile - put BOTH first names as the first name for that new addition - add their old number to that family member - THEN go back to each of their profiles and give them each a new number....

Revise a donor envelope number
Question - We have a married couple with different last names that have requested that we now separate their envelope numbers (for future donations starting in January, 2019). Up until 2018, we've combined their donations, and we are not planning, nor (per their request) do we need to separate prior...

Re: Membership General
Ah yes, exactly what I was looking for, and exactly the operation we need. The treasurer computer (mine) is used on sundays for collections, and also during the week for accounting and payroll purposes. The secretary will only be using the membership module initially, but we’re planning to revise th...

Re: Membership General
Neil, I was able to do the data merge manually —with quite a bit of effort, but good results. That being said, I have some basic questions about how data entry and file saving is done in multi-user environment. We have 2 computers with the treasurer computer now with all updated data for membership,...

Re: Membership General
Thanks! I was able to do it manually, with several passes and verification checks.
Appreciate your response!

Re: Membership General
Thanks Neil. I think I’ll make the merge my next big computer project. There are not that many records … and in working on the updated directory (vs the msword version the secretary used), I did find a detailed PC report that shows all the info for members. Over time, that could be entered manually ...

Re: Membership General
Neil,
We’ll look at merging as we move along. My gut feeling is that it would be best to use the finance one as the master... then blend in the membership computer version via manual entries. Doubtful that the software tool would allow some sort of merge?
