Voided Payroll
I issued a check to an employee for a bonus, later I found that the item description I used charged the incorrect account. I voided the check in payroll and directly afterwards thought that was not the best move, I only needed to correct it in fund accounting not in payroll. Is there a way to revers...

Re: Bonus pay
What will I use for the pay period? We pay 941 taxes every pay period, will this mess anything up on that?
We do not pay state taxes

Bonus pay
I need a little help in payroll. I have an employee that Session approved a discretionary bonus for $1000.00, they want me to make the check $1000.00 take home. The employee has a manual amount of $400 per paycheck taken out for taxes and a number of deductions (eye wear, dental etc), will I need to...

W2, W3 and 1099 advise-opinions
I have PC 12 and my understanding is we can now print using plain paper, does this include 1099's? And is it ok to print some test forms? I certainly don't want to mess anything up and have to deal with he IRS (or a mad employee )

Re: Reverse vs Void
The first one I didn't void, I only reversed. Check 14139 was issued, printed, mailed and posted to both AP and FA. I then reversed it through FA and then entered the new transaction in FA and posted both the reverse and transaction. And now I can't even offer a suggestion as to what I think I may n...

Re: Reverse vs Void
Let me clear that up a little: since I have now done both. I reversed a check in AP and then entered a new transaction in FA only. Everything has been posted, this one I need to VOID the check in AP and then post to AP only and not FA? Then thinking I caught on I VOIDED another check in AP only to e...

Re: Reverse vs Void
It appears I am STILL going back and forth on this issue but had a complete AHHHAAA moment which will hopefully help me avoid this mistake again in the future. For now I have a check I reversed instead of voiding. I have already entered the new transaction and posted everything. Is it possible for m...

Re: reconciliation vs account activity
Is it ok for me to chime in here or should this be started on a new thread? I too switched accounts and we "write" checks from 01 and 02 (they both come out of the same account, if that makes sense). When I balanced my account I deposited all into 01 and now I have a negative in 02 but it balances o...
