Re: which account to credit for state income tax?
Thank You and yes we overpaid taxes to PA at one point so that is why there was a credit in the online account. It was mistake by a past Treasurer. That issue was taken care of but I still need to know which account to credit since that one quarterly payment was not paid from the checking account. ...

Re: Troubleshooting missing funds in accounts payable
I have created 2 temporary restricted fund accounts since my initial accounting setup. The both have Equity, Income, Release and Expense accounts and the box "This account is a release account" is checked for the Release account; the account details are identical to the funds created initially. How...

Re: Switching from one checking account to another
I am my church's brand new admin. We just recently switched banks from NW Credit Union to Coastal. We will no longer be using the checking accounts for NW. I guess my questions are as follows: What is the proper way to show that money was withdrawn from NW and moved to Coastal? Are there any steps ...

Re: View Posted Transactions
We are in the process of loading first quarter data because we have just recently installed Power Church and transitioning. I couldn't find an answer to this: I'd like to see the $ amount when viewing Posted Transactions as well as some of the other data; other parts of that data don't mean as much...

Re: STRANGE-Incomplete Contribution?
Something strange showed up in our "modify unposted transactions". A contribution with no posting month, no posting date, nothing but the account number, account name, line description, and amounts in the Debit and Credit columns. Stranger thing is the line description has a date of January 4, 2004...

Re: which account to credit for state income tax?
PC 14.4 Windows 11 I normally pay quarterly state income tax from the church checking account. Pennsylvania has an online tax account system for employers. For this past quarter there was a credit in our state tax online account that was large enough to cover the tax due for the quarter. I used tha...

Re: Credit card refunded more than was originally charged
Actually, it was a credit from Budget Car Rental and not Visa, so the credit can't be used up by future charges. I would really like to clear it from the liability account as it is just sitting in the Purchases and Other Transactions list in reconciliation waiting to be cleared. Could you explain h...

Re: Tithe.ly
Our church is considering moving from Vanco to Tithe.ly. I have a few questions. Do you have to post anything manually? If so, how much time do you spend on average posting? On the accounting side do the funds from Tithe.ly post to bank reconciliation correctly? How does your monthly billing amount...

Re: Credit card refunded more than was originally charged
I recently had an experience with a rental car company where they charged our credit card and then issued a refund because of an overcharge. When they issued the refund, it was for $.12 more than the original charge. I contacted them with the error, but they basically said to keep it. I now have a ...

Re: Escheat Transaction (recovered funds)
Thank you! One followup question: When would you date the transaction? It seems the date might have an affect on reconciliation in one account or the other since the funds were out of our hands for a period of time. Use the date when the funds were returned, when you go to reconcile the old account...

Re: Escheat Transaction (recovered funds)
Were these funds already accounted for in Powerchurch? Yes. If they are still listed under the previous bank account in Powerchurch, I'd just do a transfer to the new bank account. You said that it was covered in two separate funds, I'm assuming Accounting Funds ?? If so, just credit the old accoun...

Re: Escheat Transaction (recovered funds)
Funds from an unattended bank account were turned over to the state government in October 2023. The bank closed the account. We claimed the funds from the state and they were sent back to us in February of 2024. We deposited those funds into another one of our existing bank accounts at a different ...

Re: Version 14 - 03/12/2024 Maintenance Release
I am having trouble with updating the maintenance release. I downloaded it from your link, but still could not get it to install. How do I contact support? Thank you. If you downloaded from the Maintenance Release download page, make sure you put the MR in the x:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS14 directory (whe...
