Shown as posted in contribution module but not appearing in fund accounting posted transactions but there are no unposted transactions to post.
Then its very possible it was overwritten by a database restore ... you'll have to add it manually.

Re: posted contributions not appearing in reconciliation report

Yes, I have posted to fund accounting from contributions and fund accounting. Yes, date is not issue. I even unchecked the date. Bank statement is 12/31. The contribution was deposited 12/26 and appears on the bank statement. Contribution appears in the audit log. In the setup option it posts contr...

Re: Indirect/Soft Gifts

Thanks. The issue is not with Fidelity; it is with PowerChurch. How to record a "soft gift" donor (the donor behind the Donor Advised Fund) in the Contributions module, so that we can track all gifts that come from a donor. Not really. There are gifts you can't track in Powerchurch, such as non-mon...

Re: Indirect/Soft Gifts

If the charitable organization (i.e., Fidelity) sends donations from more than one Donor Advised Fund, then there is no way to "connect" the Donor Advised Fund to one specific donor. That's what I'm trying to get at. I want to connect each donor with their gift, even if they don't receive a tax-ded...

Re: Contributions received after 12/31

Thanks, Neil. You have given me advice on how to deal with the system and some checks dated in various years. You also answered what I was really looking for which is to not go through the exercise of making a separate backdated deposit. You have further stated that, in your experience, you have le...

Re: Contribution Date vs. Deposit Date

Thanks for your response. I do reconcile the bank statement with the deposits before posting contributions. I was just hoping for a way to show both the date of contribution and the date deposited to the bank. Thanks, Terry Frankly, I never advise reconciling the bank statement with the contributio...

Re: Indirect/Soft Gifts

Hi, thanks for your responses. Yes, my question was about donors who use Donor Advised Funds, not retirement funds. I want to "link" the charitable organization (ex. Fidelity Charitable), to the donor without giving them a second tax deduction for the gift. What happens when Fidelity Charitable is ...

Re: Contributions received after 12/31

The IRS allows taxpayers to deduct checks mailed before 12/31. But what are the requirements on churches? Let me give you an example. 12/31 was a Sunday. I did a deposit dated 12/31. Took it to the night depository. Every check on that deposit received credit in 2023. What about next week's deposit...

Re: How do I account for income coming from Stripe

These funds are monies for a youth event, they are not contributions. I have debited the 01 fund account and credited the Youth Event Income account. When I ran a balance sheet, it showed the correct amount in the youth income account, so I think I've done it correctly. FWIW ... It should have been...

Re: posted contributions not appearing in reconciliation report

Contributions posted on a specific date are not appearing in the reconciliation report. The fund report shows that contributions were entered/posted to the correct fund, and the date is not an issue. Karen Standerwick admin@fpcmonett.com ksnevin@gmail.com Karen, I'm assuming you posted from Contrib...

Re: Payroll - Allocate Sick Time

I'm new to the allocation of sick time as it just became law in Minnesota that all employees receive sick time. Example - A part-time employee earns two hours of sick time each month. When and how do I allocation that? I've looked at the Time off section of the employee. I was thinking that when th...

Re: Indirect/Soft Gifts

I thought the OP was asking about how to record donations from, e.g., a DAF (Donor advised fund). I.e., the person who earned the money donated it to a charity and took the charitable contribution deduction when that donation was made to the DAF (there are DAFs called "Fidelity Charitable", "Schwab...

Re: Error Message in emailing statements

We are getting an error message of "A problem occurred connecting to SMTP server prior to sending the emails. Authentication unsuccessful user credentials are incorrect." It won't let me get past this and send our statements out by email. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do you use any sort o...

Re: Beginning Balance setup

I'm new to PC using V14. The account setup was already setup, chart of accounts organized. Where do I go to add our beginning balance without resetting? I don't want to loose all my work. Normally you would do this when creating the accounts in the Accounting Setup. I'm going to assume by 'beginnin...

Re: Church Logo on Receivable Invoices

I am hoping to be able to add a logo to our accounts receivable invoices. The last discussion on this Support Forum was in 2017, so I was hoping maybe it has since been added. Comments - other than printing to pre-printed stationary. If you don't see that option on the print invoices report, and I ...
