So just process the payroll period twice, right?

I don't. My pastor wants it done that way. He has always received separate checks. I'm going to try to get him to go to one. I was hoping you would say it wasn't possible. There goes that excuse. lol.

Is there a way to issue two check numbers to one employee in Payroll? I only see one spot for a check number, but I wanted to issue a check for the housing allowance and a different check for the salary.

I follow what you're saying. If the church chose to have the unrestricted assets in the general fund cover that, then I would just issue a transaction to do so, correct?

Ok. Do you suspect that in the future, if more expenses happen, there would be an issue? Also, in your opinion, is the best way to fix this to specifically raise the money for this?

When I look at the Balance Sheet by Fund report it shows the the general fund total assets as 45,645.01, Missions as 11,116.68, School as -4654.15, Teen Fund as 3,202.99, Sports Fund as $996.13, and Building Improvement as 11,642.69. Another quick question on this. If the fund is starting out with a negative balance, would you then just do this transaction backwards? For example, if a fund is -4794.15. My questions are these: 1. Which transaction are you referring to, and 2 Why is the fund starting off with a negative balance? ...

I think I get this. So, im basically transferring the funds to the proper accounting funds unrestricted net assets (through the transfer account), then move it from the unrestricted net assets account to the restricted asset or equity account.
